With Cadbury launching their biggest ever advent calendar, Cadbury would like to know which moment over the festive period your DCs are most excited about.

Here's what they say "This year we’re launching Cadbury’s biggest ever advent calendar and setting out to bring even more joy to the countdown this Christmas. 24 trucks, 24 doors, opening daily in 24 different locations, we’re ringing joyful festive surprises to the nation on the countdown to Christmas. While we’re counting down, we’re also keen to hear from Mumsnetters about which festive moment your kids can't wait for"

Find out about the Cadbury advent calendar by watching the video below:

So which festive moment are your DCs most excited about? You might be thrilled at the prospect of some time relaxing at home with your family, but if you asked your children - what would their response be? Perhaps they're dying to decorate the Christmas tree? Or take centre stage at their school nativity play? We're looking for the moments and treats that make Christmas for them, alongside the thrillingness of ripping wrapping off (lots of) presents.

Whichever festive moment your DCs can't wait for, Cadbury would love to hear about it.

Everyone who posts a comment will be entered into a prize draw where one lucky MNer will win a £200 Love2Shop voucher.

Thanks and good luck,
MNHQ

My DCs love opening their advent calendars every day and they also look forward to decorating the tree. They also enjoy relaxing times with family and friends. They both really struggle to get to sleep on Christmas Eve as its so exciting!

mumsbe · 02/12/2015 17:32

We love reading the night before Christmas on christmas eve. My nanna did the same to me and now I have passed the tradition on. The children also love singing Christmas carols and the visits from the mischievous elf leading to Christmas.

liamell · 02/12/2015 17:32

My 12 year old is looking forward to Christmas Eve which is all about the baking, the new festive pyjamas that we all have, the films and snuggles on the sofa and of course the anticipation of the next day.

My 3 year old is looking forward to his Paw Patroller. This is all we have heard about for the last 3 weeks and im sure it is all we will hear about for the next three :)

GreenSand · 02/12/2015 17:33

Mine want snow, so Santa can come. Apparently he can't visit unless there is snow on the ground....[santa]

fuzzywuzzy · 02/12/2015 17:35

Ours have to be the annual Christmas panto. DC really look forward to if this year we're going slightly earlier than usual as DP has to be away, so it will be the last family ocassion of the year.

Themadcleaner · 02/12/2015 17:35

My eldest daughter is much like me, it's about the food as much as anything, especially her and my favourite Boxing Day sandwich with all the left overs!
My youngest is looking forward to decorating her bedroom for Santa to admire.
They both love the Xmas tree and going to admire some very brightly decorated houses locally which do it to raise money for charity.

chibsortig · 02/12/2015 17:36

Mine can wait for the visit to santa. Got to find a grotto first. Dd9 is very excited. Ds 2 has no idea whats happening just that he gets nommy every day, hes going to scream when he see santa isnt he?

pinkspideruk · 02/12/2015 17:37

H(2) was extremely excited to find that the advent calendar contains chocolate - I have actually had to put it up high out of her way as she is keen now to open every single door lol D(5) I am sure is encouraging her so that she gets the blame when the 2 calendars are devoured in one sitting!

H is enjoying looking at the neighbours decorations and D is asking for ours to go up. We have a family tradition of not putting them up until the 13th D is deffo looking forward to helping me decorate the tree and to put out all the different ornaments we have.

D is asking if we will get snow - we drove to see friends up in Ebbw Vale a few weeks ago and they had some snow on the mountains but here in Cardiff we have nothing but rain - he is convinced that it will snow as soon as school stops lol

D is also aware that christmas = presents so he is quite keen on getting his presents - I helped him write his list to father Christmas and he keeps checking the post for a reply - but I forgot to mail it to the PO so I dont have the heart to tell him he wont get one.

We are going to see Santa in Hamleys so hopefully I can ask him to say he has received the list and everythings okay

mummy81 · 02/12/2015 17:38

My little one can't wait to the put the Christmas tree up! As we're hoping to be moving soon we dared to say we won't put it up this year. What followed wasn't good.

FlopIsMyChristmasGuru · 02/12/2015 17:38

The moment when my parents arrive.
We don't see them as much as we'd like and it's hard work having guests but the looks on the DC's faces makes up for it and I know they are excited. It was the second item (after snow) on my son (aged 7) wish list.

Sparklesandglitter · 02/12/2015 17:39

My daughter is currently wowed by her advent Callander but she is also really excited to see Santa and put up the tree!

Whataboutreindeer · 02/12/2015 17:40

Ds2 is 12 weeks old, he's looking forward to Ds1 stopping singing jingle bums (bells) in his face. Ds1 is 2 and looking forward to chocolate every day for the next 22 days!

KitKat1985 · 02/12/2015 17:42

DD loves lights and twinkly things (15 months), so I know she is going to love our Christmas tree when we get it out this weekend. I can't wait to see her face. Xmas Smile

starlight36 · 02/12/2015 17:44

Anything Christmas related gets my two very excited! They are both looking forward to getting our tree and helping to decorate it. Their happy faces as they rediscover favourite decorations is lovely to watch.

SkyWasMadeOfAmethyst · 02/12/2015 17:44

Our DC are looking really forward to the tree and have a running list going for the letter to Father Christmas... They can both write and spell this year so it they get to write their own Xmas Grin

Ditsy79 · 02/12/2015 17:45

My 2 year old daughter can't wait for Father Christmas to come to our house! She went to see him in his grotto last weekend and is very excited that he is going to leave presents here for her on Christmas morning.

Fayerobinson · 02/12/2015 17:47

At the moment my daughter who's 2. Every time she sees a Christmas tree or pretty lights, we get . " WOW" so I can not wait to see her face when we put the tree up later this week. Also last Christmas eve we were both poorly, myself and my daughter so this year it's going to b even more special and I am going to make it as magical as possible for her. So excited. 🎄🎈🎅

angiem32 · 02/12/2015 17:48

They are absolutely loving opening their advent calendars up and counting down the days until Santa comes! The part they are most looking forward to is waking up Christmas morning and seeing what is in the small stocking at the end of their beds! They are filled with small gifts and treats to enjoy!

tracy68 · 02/12/2015 17:51

DS can't wait to open number 24 on his Cadburys advent calendar, knowing that Santa has been busy helping those nice guys at Nerf, make and deliver all those guns in time for the following morning. Wink

sharond101 · 02/12/2015 17:52

My 3 year old can't wait for his presents. He s also desperate to paint our homemade tree decorations and put up the Christmas tree.

SmileyShazza · 02/12/2015 17:53

Our son is looking forward to singing Jingle Bells in his first ever school Christmas performance.

I must admit though the first thing he said when I asked him was "presents"

mrsronswanson · 02/12/2015 17:53

My children are looking forward to presents and the nice food at Christmas. They enjoy the anticipation and the traditions of Christmas Eve, and the excitement of waking up during the night/early hours and feeling if their stocking is full.

WhatBecameoftheMonkey · 02/12/2015 18:00

Mine are desperate to stay up to see Santa this year. I think they are most looking forward to the possibility that they might catch a glimpse. I need to think of something to wear them out on Christmas eve so that this is not a possibility!

strawberryblondebint · 02/12/2015 18:00

It's always the pretend elf. Daddy has to go outside on Xmas eve and knock on the door and hide. He leaves a box with new jammies for all. A xmas movie and some snacks. The Xmas elf delivers them. I love it (I get new Jammies too)

tinker78 · 02/12/2015 18:01

My almost 3 year old twins are most definitely looking forward to Santa comin. They're not old enough to remember last Christmas. I'm really looking forward to Christmas this year as they are now old enough for the season to be magical.
