With Cadbury launching their biggest ever advent calendar, Cadbury would like to know which moment over the festive period your DCs are most excited about.

Here's what they say "This year we’re launching Cadbury’s biggest ever advent calendar and setting out to bring even more joy to the countdown this Christmas. 24 trucks, 24 doors, opening daily in 24 different locations, we’re ringing joyful festive surprises to the nation on the countdown to Christmas. While we’re counting down, we’re also keen to hear from Mumsnetters about which festive moment your kids can't wait for"

Find out about the Cadbury advent calendar by watching the video below:

So which festive moment are your DCs most excited about? You might be thrilled at the prospect of some time relaxing at home with your family, but if you asked your children - what would their response be? Perhaps they're dying to decorate the Christmas tree? Or take centre stage at their school nativity play? We're looking for the moments and treats that make Christmas for them, alongside the thrillingness of ripping wrapping off (lots of) presents.

Whichever festive moment your DCs can't wait for, Cadbury would love to hear about it.

Everyone who posts a comment will be entered into a prize draw where one lucky MNer will win a £200 Love2Shop voucher.

Thanks and good luck,
MNHQ

Decorating the tree

Are Mondelez going to give the UK all the taxes they've avoided paying as a Christmas present?

My 3 year old has just this year started to understand advent calendars so every day he loves opening his cadburys Santa one. He is also fixated with leaving out a Christmas pudding for Santa.

Marg2k8 · 07/12/2015 08:13

My youngest is now a teenager, so there is not so much excitement in our house nowadays.

funkyfish586 · 07/12/2015 08:33

My little ones get SO excited over their stockings. The fun of leaving them out & waking up to find them filled ( often with rubbish) I think they are happier with the small joke style gifts over the big ones waiting downstairs :)

tabbaz123 · 07/12/2015 08:48

Waking up on Christmas morning is the obvious one but I think a little less typical is they love going sledging on the shingle banks on the beach on Boxing Day

lizd31 · 07/12/2015 08:52

This is the first Christmas that my great niece really understands about Christmas as she's nearly 3 so she's really looking forward to going to see Santa & waiting for him to leave all her presents on Christmas morning

Belo · 07/12/2015 08:56

They were looking forward to the opening of the advent calander. Once that had been opened it was the putting up of the tree. Now we've done that they're looking forward to us getting out the stockings, putting up the wreath and making some home-made decorations. We won't do that until they break up from school.

helly27 · 07/12/2015 09:06

It would have to be the presents, but she is also looking forward to late night shopping

jenniwren12 · 07/12/2015 09:14

christmas eve is when my children are most excited. We go to the cinema, then snuggle up at home with hot chocolate waiting impatiently for Santa's arrival

BlueBlueBelles · 07/12/2015 09:15

DS1 is 9. And looking forward to presents.

At least he's honest.

I'm looking forward to Christmas Eve. The christingle, cosy evening with DP, excitement for the morning.

phillie1 · 07/12/2015 09:25

chocolate for breakfast!

Firewall · 07/12/2015 09:47

Mine is looking forward to setting up the lights and decorating the tree!

jacknutter · 07/12/2015 10:12

The presents!

sweetsomethings · 07/12/2015 10:17

having christmas dinner with all the family

kazza1967 · 07/12/2015 10:46

Unfortunately, it is all about unwrapping the presents in our household. It's a shame but the kids do so love getting their new toys.

ThomasRichard · 07/12/2015 11:26

My two are excited about everything: decorating the Christmas tree, making decorations, being in the school play and the nativity play at church, writing letters to Father Christmas and definitely about the stockings and presents. I think the whole atmosphere in the build-up is magical to a child and every small thing adds to it.

worldgonecrazy · 07/12/2015 11:35

Christmas Eve when she gets to see her favourite uncles. And Yule / Winter Solstice when we will sleep under the Christmas tree all night.

sm2012 · 07/12/2015 12:06

My two girls are most excited about getting and decorating our tree, it's become a tradition that my eldest and my husband go to get the tree whilst I stay at home with the youngest and get the decorations ready, put christmas music on and most importantly open some christmas chocolate treats!

jodiecrossley1 · 07/12/2015 12:23

visiting santa's grotto!

paulaburnside114 · 07/12/2015 13:06

I think the kids are most excited about the presents. I love to see their faces when they are opening them. I'm most looking forward to the whole family getting together for Christmas dinner.

Raahh · 07/12/2015 13:16

This year, DD1(9) has been more excited about shopping for other people than anything else. She has (fortunately!) low expectations - and has been great at guiding 5 year old dd2 towards more realistic presents.

Before the start of Advent, she was particularly excited about the advent calendar she got the dog. Grin

DD2 is also really looking forward to doing the Nativity (dress rehearsal in half an hour).
All of them love decorating the tree, even if their enthusiasm wanes very quicklyGrin. Especially Ds. Grin
And dd1 is looking forward to her (now traditional) Christmas watermelon. This year it will be 'wrapped' in her new hat and scarf. Grin

BL0SS0M · 07/12/2015 13:36

My kids love getting the xmas tree and setting out the milk and cookies on xmas eve

ThenLaterWhenItGotDark · 07/12/2015 14:29

I think it's the anticipation, as it always was for me. For a few weeks now, dd has been almost squeaking with excitement at the very idea of getting the house ready for Christmas, watching Christmas movies etc.

It reminds me of the excitement I used to feel as a child on Christmas Eve. That sheer bloody joy of waiting.

izzy76 · 07/12/2015 15:26

My birthday is also on christmas day so the kids love to make me breakfast in bed then the kids sit on my bed and open their stockings,it is our magical time before mayhem
