To celebrate the re-launch of the Bassetts Vitamins range for all the family, they'd like you to share on this thread what you do with your DC (young or old) on a rainy day.

Do check out the video one of our bloggers made for them

Bassetts Vitamins say "we think family life is all about big puddles, big mud, big adventures, big tree-houses, big imaginations, big games, big days out, big messes, big noises and big fun - now we'd love to hear what fun times you and your family get up to when it's raining outside".

As the range includes vitamin products for all ages from 6 months, they'd love to hear from you, whatever age your DC are - whether they are teens or toddlers - what do you do or encourage your DC to do when it's all grey and rainy outside?

Add your comment to the thread and you'll be entered into a prize draw where one MNer will win a £300 voucher for John Lewis.

Thanks and good luck.

Usually we bake or get out the craft box

We'd do almost anything that we'd do on a non rainy day! The dc's love putting their wellies on for a splash in puddles on the way to the shops, or we can put on waterproofs and go for a bike ride or to the park. Even the dog is happy to come along. We don't let the rain stop us doing anything we feel like doing!

Our rainy day activity is to cover the dining table in newspaper and get the paint pots out and lots of paper. They can sit for hours just painting pictures and then I prepare a party buffet tea as a treat if they've been good.

get the waterproofs on and head out

We still take the dog on a long walk, we just dress for the weather. It;s great fun to splish and splash through puddles.

Rainy days to us mean close the curtains, stay in pjs and snuggle up with movies, make cakes, and play board games.... Quality family time

Yesterday I had my niece and nephew and we went on our santa saunter as planned but in the afternoon when the rain got heavier we came home and created our christmas place mats there not quite finished yet but will be on there next visit along with decorating the christmas tree.

We put our wellies and waterproofs on and take the dogs for a walk. Not sure if the kids or the dogs prefer jumping in the puddles and squelching through the mud. If we don't go out we get the craft box out. We keep any cardboard or bottles ect so we always have things to make crafts from xx

We don't let a rain get in the way of our fun! We go out, splash in puddles and on the plus side, places are quieter in the rain!
