To celebrate the re-launch of the Bassetts Vitamins range for all the family, they'd like you to share on this thread what you do with your DC (young or old) on a rainy day.

Do check out the video one of our bloggers made for them

Bassetts Vitamins say "we think family life is all about big puddles, big mud, big adventures, big tree-houses, big imaginations, big games, big days out, big messes, big noises and big fun - now we'd love to hear what fun times you and your family get up to when it's raining outside".

As the range includes vitamin products for all ages from 6 months, they'd love to hear from you, whatever age your DC are - whether they are teens or toddlers - what do you do or encourage your DC to do when it's all grey and rainy outside?

Add your comment to the thread and you'll be entered into a prize draw where one MNer will win a £300 voucher for John Lewis.

Thanks and good luck.

We paint and bake cakes

littleme96 · 29/11/2015 21:25

We chuck on our waterproofs and take the dog out for a rainy walk with lots of puddle jumping!

Sometimes we have board game afternoons which the kids love!

DVD afternoons are always appreciated - even more so if watched with a hot chocolate and a biscuit!

kathcake · 29/11/2015 21:28

If it's just drizzle we carry on about our business feeding the ducks etc. If it's a down pour we do jigsaws, play with playdoh, paints etc

RiSo · 29/11/2015 21:35

With 3 boys under 6 our plans don't really change just because it is raining, they love the mud and puddles so it just adds extra fun to our day out! If we do stay in, it is a good chance to get the lego or play doh out which we need a good few hours to play with.

christmasmum · 29/11/2015 21:40

Living in Scotland means we can't let rain stop us! We have a bucket full off bits of paper that the kids have written rainy day activities on and we pull one out when it rains. It can be anything from jigsaws to jumping in puddles to going swimming (indoors!). The kids love the element of chance but also knowing they've chosen everything in the bucket!

Princessxo · 29/11/2015 22:30

It depends on the day, but it could vary from baking cakes, to decorating store bought ones, or even having a movie marathon. I also sometimes take my kiddy self out and have fun splashing in puddles.

AngelDog · 29/11/2015 22:34

We go out puddle jumping, stay in and do cooking, or something art & crafty. Museum is good too.

marymanc · 29/11/2015 23:11

We still go out on rainy days to the library, museum or shopping. We also like staying at home and read, play board games or video games.

fifimummy · 29/11/2015 23:46

Rainy days are education days!!!
I make them learn about my programmes xxx
Family Ness, Mysterious cities of gold & Raccoons :)
And loads more xxx then we have pizza or jacket potatoes & wait for it to pass xxx

fm201069 · 30/11/2015 08:11

we go puddle jumping

phillie1 · 30/11/2015 09:02

Baking or 'cinema session' with popcorn etc

NoAdventureNoTime · 30/11/2015 09:09

It's either the card game Uno or Playdoh if we're staying in, or a project day where we chose a topic and learn as much about it as possible eg mammoths or the Stone Age means we would visit a museum etc

skyeskyeskye · 30/11/2015 10:14

If it is raining, then we like to play games on the Wii, singing or dancing. We also like to play board games. DD at 7yo is just getting to understand things like Monopoly.

lhlee62 · 30/11/2015 11:01

Soft play if I'm going stir crazy staying in or baking cakes, building towers, playing games or if we are feeling lazy we cuddle up on the sofa with a good DVD

chrismse · 30/11/2015 11:33

Walk the dog, jump in puddles and come home to an indoor picnic

feeona123 · 30/11/2015 12:01

We've had a few rainy days recently. I have to admit the TV is on quite a bit but only in the background.

We have lots of toys to play with and also just doing household tasks seem to fill in the time. If its not too bad, we get the waterproofs on and wellies on and go for a walk.

cookie09 · 30/11/2015 12:20

We stay out of the rain and have a cosy day in watching movies and playing games.

funkyfish586 · 30/11/2015 13:01

We do arts & crafts, baking and we often get bundled up with wellys and go out for a walk in the rain.. They love it

moonray · 30/11/2015 13:16

We like to paint pebbles, sometimes make button pictures, make friendship bracelets and have fun making collages

shroney · 30/11/2015 13:56

We get out all our board games and play scrabble, monopoly etc then will watch a movie with hot chocolate.

jazzitup · 30/11/2015 13:57

We bake biscuits and then sit down to a good film or the plastic guitars come out and all of a sudden we are rock gods of course. (Why wouldn't you)

nicholalw · 30/11/2015 14:30

We love puzzles and board games - I've always loved them so it's great to be able to share it with my little ones. And then baking, drawing and watching films. Bring on the rain, we don't care!!

sarahbrokenshire · 30/11/2015 15:13

I get the waterproof floor covers out and we have messy play :) So lots of pain, glue and glitter- the kids love it and keeps my house still lovely and clean x

helly27 · 30/11/2015 15:49

We get the rather large doing and making box out and make whatever takes their fancy

Cailin7 · 30/11/2015 20:12

rainy days are much the same, wellies and waterproofs and out with the dog
