To celebrate the re-launch of the Bassetts Vitamins range for all the family, they'd like you to share on this thread what you do with your DC (young or old) on a rainy day.

Do check out the video one of our bloggers made for them

Bassetts Vitamins say "we think family life is all about big puddles, big mud, big adventures, big tree-houses, big imaginations, big games, big days out, big messes, big noises and big fun - now we'd love to hear what fun times you and your family get up to when it's raining outside".

As the range includes vitamin products for all ages from 6 months, they'd love to hear from you, whatever age your DC are - whether they are teens or toddlers - what do you do or encourage your DC to do when it's all grey and rainy outside?

Add your comment to the thread and you'll be entered into a prize draw where one MNer will win a £300 voucher for John Lewis.

Thanks and good luck.

bake fairy cakes or cookies, have a snuggle movie day on sofa, play board games or tidy their rooms with a promise of a pizza as a treat

Angelik · 04/12/2015 08:49

just bought a batch of these vitamins. dc love them! rainy days when we're all feeling a bit lazy usually involves me vacuuming sofas whilst dc jump all over cushions on the floor and that's where they stay forest if the day. they build forts, vehicles, have adventures through tunnels, make obstacle courses - hours of fun! if cabin fever sets in they have an hour in the garden whilst I'm cooking and can see them. feel one of these days is overdue!

Do some crafting, maybe make a cake or watch some films together.

sootyo · 04/12/2015 11:13

Build a den from sheets and chair an have an adventure. Or plan an indoor picnic on a rug in the lounge, with the children helping to prepare the food.

marshgirl · 04/12/2015 20:03

Curls up on the sofa with a blanket and popcorn watching films. Also colouring and doing puzzles .

paulaburnside114 · 04/12/2015 21:23

We often have carpet picnics. We put down a blanket in the living room and eat off paper plates. My kids love it.

Kangakate · 04/12/2015 21:46

We still take the dog out, but go jumping in puddles, then we snuggle up on the couch and watch movies or play some board games

We're lucky to be in the town centre with a huge number of great museums and art galleries in, so there's never any shortage of wet weather activiites.

The favourite game is still to go to a museum and choose what the most hideous thing you can find is!

wobblywindows · 05/12/2015 13:42

Treasure hunt in the local museum.

We do baking, crafts or play games indoors.

naomicm · 06/12/2015 03:25

we have front room picnics, we spread a blanket on the floor and lay out the picnic, captain jack and tiger lily, the cats, sit at a distance and keep an eye on proceedings and on any potential signs of tidbits, billy the labrador lays down as close as possible (drooling) in the hope that little hands might slip him something when nobody is looking! Afterwards we make a tent under the kitchen table using a blanket, and they read me and the teddy bears stories while I catch up on housework.

LumpySpaceCow · 06/12/2015 05:14

Crafts usually! In yesterdays storm we made snowflakes. Sometimes we bake too. I enjoy those times where we are snug inside but still being active :-)

krnries · 06/12/2015 12:51

We'll bake or watch a film. Daughter loves a family game when we're all stuck indoors. At the moment dd is creating a zentangle - which is taking her hours :)
