Thirty-five years since his first appearance, the Milk Tray Man is back and is being re-imagined for the 21st century. Cadbury are keen to hear from Mumsnetters about who they think best represents the modern Milk Tray Man (or woman!).

Cadbury say “The Milk Tray man is back and he’ll be daring but caring, thoughtful yet thrill-seeking - and he’ll go to any lengths to deliver a box of Milk Tray to a loved one.”

What traits do you think the modern Milk Tray Man or woman should have, and who do you think best embodies these qualities? Your favourite actor, dressed to thrill in a smart black polo neck and grappling hooks Grin. Your best friend, who’s helped you through some tough times? Maybe your partner has all the key qualities?

Whomever you think represents the modern Milk Tray Man, Cadbury would love to hear about it.

Everyone who adds a comment will be entered into a prize draw where one MNer will win a £200 Experience Day Gift Card for you and your loved one(s).*

You can make your own nomination over here and don't forget to tell us on this thread too.

Thanks

Damian Lewis would be perfect, I'd happily accept a box of milk tray off him

jhocknull · 24/10/2015 19:10

Definitely my husband.

Tkw2014 · 24/10/2015 19:26

Ooh how can I choose...beckham, benedict cummerbach, Tom hardy...a few of my many suggestions!

MAT12 · 24/10/2015 19:27

Gerald Butler, now i wouldn't say no to a box of milk tray if it came with him

EasterRobin · 24/10/2015 19:35

I could buy into the idea of a small child negotiating mini-obstacles (think toddler crossing a house by holding onto furniture or clambering over beanbags/soft play/up stairs, or an older child scaling treehouse ladder, getting drenched running across a sports field, etc) all because his mum/teacher loves milk tray.

Or if it's going to be an adult, Daniel Radcliffe would always be welcome to leave chocs outside my door.

Lawrence fox, intelligent & good looking

Dizzyc73 · 24/10/2015 19:55

George Clooney!

cocochips · 24/10/2015 20:11

Idris Elba

cherylann2461 · 24/10/2015 20:16

I think David Beckham would make a great Milk Tray man

Maclairey · 24/10/2015 20:27

Chris Hemsworth for me. Although I would prefer him to come as Thor....

firsttimekat · 24/10/2015 20:48

My DH for all the small things that he does for me. From getting up early with DS so I can have a lie in, to adding my favourite chocolates to the shopping even though I said I didn't want any so they are always in the house when I do want some! I love him for all the tiny gestures every day that other people might overlook but I treasure.

moneypenny66 · 24/10/2015 21:05

Bear Grylls... Never fazed by anything!

kittykomp · 24/10/2015 21:29

Daniel Craig

TitsForBrains · 24/10/2015 21:45

cozza777 · 24/10/2015 21:57

tiddles12 · 24/10/2015 22:11

selloveday · 24/10/2015 22:15

Daniel Craig please!

windowmouse · 24/10/2015 22:24

I think Daniel Craig would be a great milk tray man

pfcpompeysarah · 24/10/2015 22:25

If he could leave them on my doorstep rather than potentially frightening the bejesus out of me in the middle of the night then I would have to say I would pick Jamie Dornan (don't tell anyone he is a bit younger than me though!).

freefan · 24/10/2015 23:27

I think the whole mystery person coming through your window in a polo neck is really dated and creepy, hopefully they'll revamp it to be more relevant to todays world and without the polo neck :) and Philip Schofield would be ideal

bubblebabes · 25/10/2015 01:52

Your best chance of making the milk tray guy modern is get jason stantham . He's not drippy ...most women wouldnt mind him bringing chocs and he has the aloof bad boy image but even then the storyline would have to be a lot different intead of home delivery how about mysteriously appearing in a work setting

thekiwibex · 25/10/2015 03:51

Got to be a bearded Jamie Dornan!

pockledigg · 25/10/2015 05:48

Chris Packham. He's very 'Outdoorsy' and a real environmental hero.

DaisyDando · 25/10/2015 08:35

Tom Hardy, Tom Hardy, Tom Hardy.

I'd let him start the second layer early.

ScarlettDarling · 25/10/2015 09:14

Oh my goodness, Aljaz from Strictly in a black polo neck bringing me a box of milk tray...no that idea definitely doesn't feel outdated or offensive!
