The team at Hobbycraft would like to find out the arts and crafts activities you will be doing with your DCs this February half term holiday.

Here’s what Hobbycraft say, “As parents ourselves we know what a challenge it can be to keep the kids entertained away for the TV so for the sake of mum’s everywhere who are in need of inspiration we’d love to know what is your favourite crafting activity to do with the kids?”

The February half term is a tough one on most parents with the weather often keeping children cooped up inside. So what theme will your February half term holiday take? Will you be baking hot goodies to stave off the dreary weather? Will you re-create the outdoors inside by making an indoor den and scenery from recycling? Whatever it is, we want to hear it!

Baking biscuits and cardmaiking!

We spent lots of time visiting family, taking advantage of any nice weather and playing with our new puppy :)

Sadly I had to work a good portion of the half term but on our days off we spent time recreating the story of Katie in London book by following the lions path and spotting familiar landmarks. We then came home and drew our own map and built our own versions of landmarks with various materialsn

we made no-sew beanbags with some funky duck tape we'd been given. Now he can throw things in the house!!

We've just had half-term and we went bowling, to the cinema to watch Big Hero 6 in 3D, visiting grandparents, to Buildabear, to the park, made lots of things using arts & crafts, went on a nature walk, went out for dinner, visited friends, went to a local indoor soft play centre, built lots of Lego, made our own drive-in cinema with cardboard boxes and had a Disney movie day at home!

We will be making cards ready for Easter and also making some cupcakes!

we made homemade pizza's, had a day out in France & they went to grandmas for a couple of days.
