After the success of Breaking Bad, Watch With Mumsnet is back with Better Call Saul, a brand new Original series from Netflix.

In this dark comedic prequel to the Emmy-winning Breaking Bad, we meet ambitious small-time lawyer Jimmy McGill six years before he becomes Walter White’s morally challenged attorney, Saul Goodman. We follow as Jimmy (played by Bob Odenkirk) transforms from an optimistic underdog struggling to make ends meet into the notorious legal legend who puts the criminal in 'criminal lawyer'.

With one episode being released on Netflix each week we’d like you to visit the thread at different points throughout the season and let us know your thoughts on what’s going on. We’ll be updating the thread with new topics of discussion surrounding each week’s episode. Episodes will be release every Tuesday only on Netflix. Bifald, Saul took that "one chance ticket out of town" thing through his contact at the end of BB and went to Minneapolis. (For non-Americans, exile to Minneapolis is sort of funny. It's a cold, bland city with a reputation for dullness in the middle of the vast Midwest.) Obviously, he will be watching his back for the rest of his life. Whether or not we'll ever fast-forward and see what happens to him in his post-BB life I don't know.

Spoilers Poor Jimmy! Can't believe Chuck has felt that way about him, how awful when all Jimmy did was to turn himself around and make Chuck proud! Can definitely understand why Jimmy becomes Saul now - according to Chuck he's damned if he does and damned if he don't! Why not just do it - I reckon he will take the money from HHM and set up as Saul Goodman... I do wonder how he finds the name though! Sad that next week is the last! And hope for the next series they release it all at once!

Need my next fix... Anyone know when OITNB is back!?

I'm amazed - but I think I'm enjoying it more than Breaking Bad...Can't wait to see the end of series one!

This may sound like heresy but.... I enjoyed this series as much or even more than BB. Now we know the extent of the damage and loss behind Jimmy and Mike. Vince Gilligan walks on water.

Loved the finale. Roll on season 2.

We watched the first episode a few weeks ago and haven't watched any more yet. We do plan to, but just like Breaking Bad I think it will take a while to get into and be quite a slow start. The first episode didn't really grip us, but we loved Breaking Bad so will give this more of a chance.

I loved BCS. Not an exciting rollercoaster ride like BB, but a nice gentle explanation of how Slippin' Jimmy became Jimmy McGill the lawyer and then Saul Goodman.

Also loved Mike's story just as much.

Returning in 2016 apparently with more detail about how Jimmy becomes Saul. Can't wait, I am still on Season 1 so am trying to avoid reading too much of this thread. It's so good a d hasn't disappointed me.

I’ve heard about the series but haven’t got round to watching it yet. I loved Breaking Bad and I’d love to see Saul’s background before he became such an important character in the series.
