After the success of Breaking Bad, Watch With Mumsnet is back with Better Call Saul, a brand new Original series from Netflix.

In this dark comedic prequel to the Emmy-winning Breaking Bad, we meet ambitious small-time lawyer Jimmy McGill six years before he becomes Walter White’s morally challenged attorney, Saul Goodman. We follow as Jimmy (played by Bob Odenkirk) transforms from an optimistic underdog struggling to make ends meet into the notorious legal legend who puts the criminal in 'criminal lawyer'.

With one episode being released on Netflix each week we’d like you to visit the thread at different points throughout the season and let us know your thoughts on what’s going on. We’ll be updating the thread with new topics of discussion surrounding each week’s episode. Episodes will be release every Tuesday only on Netflix. Everyone who joins the discussion will be entered into a prize draw where one winner will win a Toshiba 40” Full HD Freeview HD Smart LED TV* and 6 month Netflix subscription, a further 5 Mumsnetters will win a Better Call Saul goodybag.

Note on spoilers: We want to hear your thoughts on everything, from plot twists to season finales and more - but if you’re talking anything that could reveal important plot details then please put Spoiler at the beginning of your post to warn others who may not have seen it.

Happy watching,
MNHQ

I think we are going to get Netflix just to watch Saul. I cannot wait till the dvd is released.

aurorablues · 22/02/2015 11:40

Watched all 3 episodes. This is going to be a great series, i'm absolutely hooked.

I always said Saul Goodman would make an interesting spin off character whilst watching Breaking Bad. So glad it was made.

Loving the dynamic between him and Mike.

Looking forward to all the scrapes he gets himself into and all the crazy characters he meets along the way :D

I've got so used to box sets that I'm finding it frustrating to watch one episode at a time and wait for the next one to air, especially when it's as good as this!

hmd104 · 22/02/2015 14:10

broachurch “Unfortunately it’s not just the plotline that has let this second series down, but the dialogue too. After Claire and Lee finally part ways, her best riposte to a man who has emotionally abused her is ‘you’re so stupid.’”

nicctaylor · 22/02/2015 14:33

I really liked it. The desert scene was great. can't wait for the rest of the season, i'm hooked

shazzarooney99 · 22/02/2015 14:37

Omg! funny and scarey and i am absolutely hooked!

FUZZ62 · 22/02/2015 16:17

love Better Call Saul, have enjoyed spotting where Saul comes across the other characters we see in breaking bad, especially Tuco, loved how he was with his grandmother sending her upstairs to get out the 'salsa stains' Wink

GatoradeMeBitch · 22/02/2015 17:02

I found myself wondering whether club soda actually does get out blood. I'm sure Tuco left without cleaning it, so his Abuelita probably had to do it. She would have been majorly pissed off if it didn't work...

cluckyhen · 22/02/2015 17:23

We only started to watch it yesterday and I have to admit - I'm finding it hard going with it been so slow - but I will persevere as people keep telling me it is good

MaryDunlop99 · 22/02/2015 17:32

Watched both today and love them, can't wait to see how the characters develop

cornishgirl54 · 22/02/2015 17:38

Found it slow to get into at first but it warmed up! Desert scene in No 2 was good! :)

hopelesslydevotedtoGu · 22/02/2015 17:44

I loved Breaking Bad, I'm really glad for a spin off series. I really hope it develops similar depths of character progression through the series. So far so good- remember that BB was a bit slow to start too.

katieskatie82 · 22/02/2015 17:49

Breaking Bad is my Favorite Tv programme of ALL TIME! The ending was perfect and i was so upset when it finished. I was however, so excited to find out that they were making Better Call Saul. I haven't actually watched any of Better Call Saul yet though. I'm a binge viewer so i'll be waiting until all the episodes are on Netflix and will be watching them all in one go! So excited though, it looks amazing!!!!

TorrieLou · 22/02/2015 19:15

Its good to have something to get into again as BB has left a hole in my life. I found by the second episode I was starting to enjoy it.

Em86 · 22/02/2015 19:17

Just finished the first episode, it was a little slow to start but it got better and the ending was interesting.

EdgeOfTheNight · 22/02/2015 19:31

I was unsure about this (I haven't watched all of BB) but it's interesting.

NelAllan · 22/02/2015 20:16

Watching later and looking forward to it, despite being a lot behind with Breaking Bad, it will have to wait! Sounds great.

funkyfreks · 22/02/2015 22:13

Oooo Been waiting for some new stuff to watch, closing eyes and trawling past the spoiler comments... eeeeeek

casspuss · 22/02/2015 22:14

well who would have thought booby was the killer of Lucy Beale

Themilseys · 22/02/2015 22:59

I feel a bit out of the loop having not seen Breaking Bad but after reading others comments, it's now definitely on my 'must watch' list

SahraO · 23/02/2015 00:00

Breaking Bad has been so epic and I'm absolutely loving the connections.

Khady · 23/02/2015 00:11

I started watching Breaking Bad a couple of months ago and was gutted when it finished. I love BCS, and I love how the characters from BB are in too.

dm2ooo · 23/02/2015 00:40

Saul was my favourite character in Breaking Bad - wasn't in the last season nearly enough. So happy that he's got the spin off as I enjoyed the more light-hearted elements of BB. First episode was satisfying and I expect there is bigger and better to come!

Bluecarrot · 23/02/2015 00:56

Just got caught up today. Must say if it wasn't related to bb or have the many many fab reviews, I would have stopped watching after the first episode. However, like with BB I'm starting to get into it after a few episodes. Already set a "date" with DP to watch every Wednesday night. :)

TiggersAngel7774 · 23/02/2015 02:36

Not watched it as dont have netflix but judging by the exert above deffo not my thing.
