The team at Specsavers would love to know what you think about glasses frames these days - there are hundred's to choose from - but do you always go for the same type of frame? Or do you have more than one on the go to co-ordinate with your clothes? What about your DP/DH if they wear specs - do you help to choose them, do they like a particular style? How long do you tend to keep your frames? And do you take advantage of 2for1 offers to get something a bit different? How do you pick the frame which suits you best?

Specsavers say "Whatever your style, we can help you find frames that suit you best. Our collection of women's glasses includes a range of styles from classic chic to bold and contemporary. With stylish frames starting from just £25 a pair and designer frames priced from £99 to £149, there’s something to suit all tastes and pockets. All glasses come with PENTAX single vision lenses and a scratch-resistant treatment".

"Vibrant purples, reds, pinks and rich tortoiseshells are emerging trends in eyewear. We have a gorgeous collection of ladies glasses to help you add a pop of colour to your wardrobe. Our women’s glasses are made in a range of materials, including plastic, metal, stainless steel and titanium. If you have a preference for what your frames are made of, search by materials to find the perfect pair".

Share your thoughts and everyone who does will be entered into a prize draw where one MNer will win a £250 voucher from here

Please note Specsavers may use your comments - anon of course - on their pages on MN, on their social media or possibly elsewhere - please only post if you're happy with this.

Thanks and good luck

I hate small frame which is the style at the moment I would say 95% on offer are small. I feel I am peering through slits. Not sure re the 2 for 1 offers I'd pref to have one pair at half the price!

I remember the stigma of wearing NHS glasses as a child and it made me not wear them. Now they hipster but times have changed massively. My kids get free sunglasses as well a choice of great frames. Personally not so bothered about what my glasses look like now more concerned with the fit, some of them are not great. But would be nice to have both.

I always need the help of an assistant in Specsavers to help me choose. I only have one pair which I need to go with everything as I wear them all day. I tend to try and get a pair which is a more up-to-date version of my current spectacles.

I am really short sighted and my lenses are pretty thick as a result, and as my eyes change with every visit it is not worth the expense to get them thinned.I find it a struggle to find frames suitable for thicker lenses that aren't awful plastic ones or just not stylish and am stuck with the same few pairs each time. Also, I have a long oval shaped face so need to stick with a specific frame shape to look right and there aren't many at all that can even have thicker lenses in of that shape. If your prescription isn't too bad then there are some great frames, and I feel those people can have a pair for their own style and be happy, or even a few pairs for different outfits. But us more blind people are left with a smaller selection and that needs improving in this day and age with the technology we now have. I'd love to have my eyes lasered just to lessen the prescription and be able to have more choice of glasses but am not eligible due to my eyes not staying stable. Sometimes I don't think those with no vision issues at all realise just how lucky they are not having to rely on glasses or contacts! I'm awful if I dont wear mine, have bumped into things, not known there was a kerb there and fallen up/down it, and so much more, basically look reallllly drunk early in the morning! Oh well. At least it can be corrected which I always count myself lucky with.

My sister just chooses the coolest looking ones she can find!

I always struggle with getting new glasses. I usually end of with one that look like the pair I have.

I always struggle to find the frame that I would be entirely happy with. Normally order loads of them to try at home as I can't make up my mind in store. I try not to switch frames too often: I find that I still need some accommodation time when I do, and it's (physically) unpleasant - with headache and a bit of disorientation. I wonder how exact same prescription works slightly different in various frames - I guess it's an angle of it which makes the difference - may be I am too sensitive to this kind of things.

I always go for glasses with a slight cats-eye shape to them, as they're the only ones that really suit me. I just wish Specsavers and other opticians did more glasses in that style. And I always buy them in either black or dark brown. I always keep my glasses until they break. If I start to dislike a pair of glasses then I'll just keep them for watching TV/wearing around the house or for emergencies (like if my others broke). With the 2 for 1 deal I sometimes use it as an excuse to try something a bit more different and daring for one pair, whilst choosing something safe with the other pair. I usually know what suits me, but I'll also usually ask the advice of the shop assistant and my mum to check that they look alright.
