The team behind Annie the Movie says "If you've seen the film, you'll know Annie forms a strong attachment with her dog, Sandy. They always say a dog is a man's best friend, and he certainly is Annie's!"

We had a fabulous feisty Jack Russell terrier called Lucy who was affectionate and very funny. She was also extremely naughty often wrestling Alsations several times her size to the floor even when she was really getting old. I took her everywhere with me, but unfortunately she became very infirm due to her age and passed away a few years ago. We really miss her. I now have a cat that we rescued as it was a local stray. Felix turned up crying on our doorstep on a freezing cold night in Dec 2012. He is definitely more cat than dog, he's like the cat on the O2 advert. He's friendly, affectionate, loves being with people, runs to the door when we come home and without blinking an eye, he puts up with a lot of silly things that the kids do to him like dressing him in clothes(!)
This is one of my faves of him sitting in a box.

How is this for a Doggy Sidekick? Maxwell looks like he can really talk!

George is our doggy sidekick, the girls love him and he keeps me fit with the daily walks!

Tia, and sidekick really is the word for her, she's with me almost all the time, even when I have a bath she joins me in the bathroom! But I love that about her, I have had some health problems over the past couple of years where at times I have been really bad with it, and she keeps watch during those times, cheers me up if I get low for whatever reason, knows the difference between laughter and crying and acts accordingly (being loving and attentive if crying and daft if laughter) and is just the most perfect dog for me. I lost my last dog very suddenly after the vet failed to diagnose a condition until too late, he was such an awesome dog and I never thought I would find a dog to suit me so much, yet Tia has slotted into my life to perfectly, could almost say my Mum, wherever she is, had a part in bringing Tia to me as I nearly lost out on having her come into my life, and certainly would not be without her.

This is Penny. Have you ever been this happy? She's my absolute best friend.

My doggy side kick is my awesome little dude Mr Harley McGoo.
Absolutely love him to pieces, he's 4 years of age, and Goes EVERYWHERE with me, even to morrisons. Ok he'll wait outside, but if I go anywhere without him, oh dear, those dirty dog eyed looks I get. He really is my bff....

Our sidekick is our German shepherd dog, Rubie. She's my companion at home and keeps me in check! She is a complete madam, very demanding and likes to huff a lot if she doesn't get her own way. She has a ridiculous toy obsession and drops massive hints if she is bored by placing her toy on your lap (when you are guaranteed to be in the middle of something important)! She is also great at telling me when someone is at the door, in case i didn't hear the door knock!
