Share how you’ll be using Netflix with your family this Christmas and you could win an iPad mini NOW CLOSED

With Christmas almost here, we’d like to you to share how you’ll be using Netflix with your family over the festive season.

Will you put a film on while you are wrapping your presents? Maybe you’ll be using Netflix to help the kids settle down before bed on Christmas Eve - after all the excitement over the arrival of Santa! Or perhaps you’ll choose a family favourite that everyone can watch together after Christmas dinner?

We’d also love to know what devices your family uses to watch Netflix. Do your kids tend to watch the iPad? Perhaps you and DP snuggle in bed watching on your laptop? Or maybe you use your smart TV when everyone is together as family. Whatever it is, we’d love to hear it!

Netflix has a selection of family titles, including hit movies like The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, Brave and Monsters Inc, as well as festive films like Mickey’s Twice Upon a Christmas, Scrooged and The Search for Santa Paws.

Everyone who comments below about how they think they will use Netflix over the holidays will be entered into a prize draw where one Mumsnetter will win an iPad mini and a 6 month subscription to Netflix.

Dd has been after Netflix for a while and we recently agreed. It's easy for her to get onto on iPad or her laptop. Sudden fall in grades. Having a policy review to see how we can limit her viewing time until h/w done. The Xmas movies do look good though and could help over Xmas with 17 here on 25/12

We watch netflix on the tv in the lounge. We are watching all the Christmas films at the moment as it helps to get everyone in the Christmas spirit.

My daughter watches Netflix on her tablet, any age appropriate films she enjoys. She is 12 years old and we all love Disney, so there is plenty to find.

we watch it through the xbox and we are both busy with work, so we really appreciate some downtime, to relax and pick out some of our favourite programmes

I love watching tv and movies on Netflix. When I am in the mood I binge watch many episodes in a series at once! My family and I love watching all the christmas films on our smart tv, and tablets! Netflix is always there for us when we need something good to watch!

Our daughter loves having Netflix and it's great that she can use it and we're safe in the knowledge that she can't access anything unsuitable for her age.

We use Netflix through the wii when we watch programmes together. But my dcs use their laptops when watching on their own and with friends. I can't wait to finish school next Friday and begin to chill and enjoy the festive season. ... lighting the fire and curling up to watch Christmas flms. . Ooh roll on Friday!

Great to watch the films at times that suit you and without lots of adverts spoiling it. After extra work and fun of Christmas great way to relax.

I've got 2 trips to China during December, flying with an airline that shows rubbish films, and staying on hotels which offer little English language entertainment so Netflix is a life saver in keeping me sane & entertained, as I'll be downloading new films and my favourite shows to watch, and help me stop being too home sick.

I don't have Netflix or an iPad, my laptop & hubbies have both packed in too so my son is the only one with a working device! I will probably get mine sorted out after Christmas! I do have a SmartTV if I can run it through there? I would like to try it and see what is available as atm we only have Freeview.
