Share how you’ll be using Netflix with your family this Christmas and you could win an iPad mini NOW CLOSED

With Christmas almost here, we’d like to you to share how you’ll be using Netflix with your family over the festive season.

Will you put a film on while you are wrapping your presents? Maybe you’ll be using Netflix to help the kids settle down before bed on Christmas Eve - after all the excitement over the arrival of Santa! Or perhaps you’ll choose a family favourite that everyone can watch together after Christmas dinner?

We’d also love to know what devices your family uses to watch Netflix. Do your kids tend to watch the iPad? Perhaps you and DP snuggle in bed watching on your laptop? Or maybe you use your smart TV when everyone is together as family. Whatever it is, we’d love to hear it!

Netflix has a selection of family titles, including hit movies like The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, Brave and Monsters Inc, as well as festive films like Mickey’s Twice Upon a Christmas, Scrooged and The Search for Santa Paws.

Everyone who comments below about how they think they will use Netflix over the holidays will be entered into a prize draw where one Mumsnetter will win an iPad mini and a 6 month subscription to Netflix.

Thanks and good luck,

MNHQ

My oldest son uses Netflix on his iPad which leaves the TV free for my youngest son to either watch whatever he wants to or even use the PlayStation. In the evenings me and hubby have got into a routine of watching Orange is the New Black each day (on Netflix via our Apple TV), as we needed to fill the gap created once we'd worked our way through Breaking Bad. What would we do without Netflix?!

My son and I both have Netflix on our tablets. I use mine in the kitchen when sorting out bills, meals etc to watch mainly horror movies. He uses his in his bedroom and watches American sitcoms

I'll be using it on Christmas Eve to watch Christmas movies while I wrap :D

I like the festive favourites, we're going to watch Santa Paws together this weekend. I really like that Netflix has no ads, as at this time of year any channel with adverts is packed full of toys, which give the kids ideas...

We watch it on the TV. Enjoying Lilyhammer with DH currently.

nicctaylor · 13/12/2014 19:37

we will be catching up breaking bad

superkittycat · 13/12/2014 20:01

AnimalAddict · 13/12/2014 21:05

we don't have Netflix, if I did I would like to catch up on series that I never saw like Supranos and West Wing, mind you may need a couple of months to get through them all!

We watch Netflix through the wii ... DP and I will be watching netflix over Christmas when the DC have gone to bed - can't wait to start on series 2 of The Killing !
Thank goodness for Netflix at least I know I have some sanctuary and escapism to look forward to at the end of a stressful December day .

MaryDunlop99 · 13/12/2014 22:11

Christmas is always a good time to get together, and watch programmes and films that we can't do during the year. Highlights are always the family films, and those box sets that are always nice to see in one go!
