So, what crafty Christmas projects will you be doing this year? Do you decorate the Christmas tree together? If you do, do you make your own decorations? Or perhaps you bake Christmas cakes and treats together?

For the last few years, the dc and I have made clay decorations for a small, extra tree we have.
It keeps them occupied for quite a while. My eldest likes to make his favourite characters from games or TV - so they have changed over the years and I've kept all the old ones. My youngest likes the painting and glitter part the most.

DS and I have been making tree decorations - some sewn ones, and some wire.

We'll be baking lots too

We're making felt tree decorations and also not particularly Christmassy but some Stampy Cat bunting.

We'll also be baking and of course making the obligatory paper snowflakes covered in glitter.

I have bought a lovely book of Christmas paper and am planning to make paper chains and lanterns. We also always make a couple of pomanders to hang on the tree. Mmmm, the smell says Christmas to me!

We've made some clay decorations and will paint them once dry. Also made some snowman biscuits and will make mince pies soon.

Making Christmas cards of course. Lots of glitter needed.
Also cards for the charity that my DD is supporting through the school - potato prints I think are in order.
Also making our own wrapping paper with scraps and paints.
May made some 'decoden' projects, if I can get the stuff together - as presents.
Making some baubles for the tree and home made decorations.

We make christmas cards (natch), 3d pictures out of funky foam (using my old Sizzix), and this year we're making tiny pictures to go in the photo baubles - using scrapbook papers and stickers mainly

I've got a sticker craft activity to do with ds 1.5 we will do some hand print crafts too

We've got the Jane Bull Complete Christmas book which has loads of craft ideas and ideally some that have previously been too tricky for my DS so although we've had it for a couple of years there is always something new to try for now.

My DS LOVES craft and needs no promting to make stuff.

We will probably do a few different things, but one we will definitely do is making Rudolph cakes together .

Making handprint painted cards for grandparents from ds aged one. In reality this means causing paintmaggedon in the consevatory!

We'll be sticking chocolate buttons and jelly tots haphazardly onto a gingerbread house (hoping I have more luck with the icing this year) and undoubtedly making some decorations of some sort. Oh and I need to think of something we can make for her grandparents. To Pinterest!

DS has been making some snowman decorations. When poor DS is feeling better (cold) he will get some pine cones from the park and we will be putting glitter on them.

We'll probably also make gingerbread men, but I'm not sure if these will make it on to the tree-the DC's love them!!

We always make pAper snowflakes to blu tak onto windows. If your windows ever steam up (our kitchen ones alwayS do) or you have a problem with condensation then it's worth laminating them too. This stops them going soggy ( and you can keep the best ones from year to year. )

Quite a few things, girls are 4 and 2 so need to fill December.
We make cards for family, decorate with hand prints, planning the fingers to be branches!
Each girl also has a mini false tree in their bedroom which they decorate with spare decorations and stuff they make through the month, already have a few felt kits etc.
Have also bought Christmas paper chain kit so will be making those for their bedrooms as well (good for hand eye coordination.
Have also bought a few of those cardboard box things you use for decoupage (spelling??) . Planning on the girls decorating them as special Christmas memory boxes.
Lotsof baking as well
There will be plenty of other things as well otherwise I may go mad!

My pfb ds is one now so won't really know whats going on but I already feel more festive because of him iyswim? So I'll be making mince pies for the first time, and taking him to see Santa in his grotto and hope he doesn't cry! I'm sure he'll also enjoy "helping" me to wrap presents and make cards

Me and ds 1,who is five, with ds 2, age 2, helping will be making some foam craft kits - he has choosen gingerbread men, gingerbread cottages and christmas masks. There are also the annual paper chains and snowflakes to make along with baking and the christmas bunting.

I also have the cards to make ....

Painting pinecones and putting glitter on them and the girls love to sew together Christmas craft sets, Santa decorations etc.

We're going to make a wreath for the front door. Dd is very taken my the berries and birds in hobby craft to put on it .

We bought a brilliant Usborne book last year, with hundreds of paper decorations to cut and stick. It kept them amused for a whole weekend, provided us with loads of lovely decorations and there are plenty left for this year.

We are currently making cards and colouring bunting.

We also do salt dough decorations, snowmen in various medium (finger paints, pom poms and foam), cut out nativity scene, wool wreaths, calendars, baking, photo baubles and clay models.

Forgot the snowflakes and angels! We are doing them too!

Salt dough decorations here too.
Some plain white with garden twine ti hang, some with extra fine glitter dust mixed into the dough (these came out lovely) and some we'll paint.

We will be making home made decorations, cakes and sing along to the Christmas songs.
