To celebrate the launch of the new Vodafone family price plan (Red+) and that this Christmas you can also enjoy a 3 month NOW TV Sky Movies with Red 4G Vodafone want to know what your fail safe film is for travelling with children!

Vodafone say "We all know those long journeys with children, especially at christmas time when they are even more excited, can feel a bit endless. These days, technology makes this a bit easier! With a 3 month NOW TV Sky Movies Pass from Vodafone, you can select a film to help pass the time for children".

Vodafone has also launched a new plan, designed specifically for families. Red+ gives you one data allowance to share and you can even cap your kids’ data so they don't go over their limit. You'll get one simple bill for all devices, saving you money compared to individual plans, and you'll also get unlimited calls and texts.

The Vodafone Digital Parenting Guide can be found here: www.vodafone.co.uk/family

So whether your children climb over seats to catch yet another screening of Frozen, or have a secret sob to Toy Story 3, please share the film you can be quietly confident will give you some peace on the journey and keep the kids occupied.

Add your comment to this thread and you’ll be entered into a prize draw where one MNer will win a £250 Hamleys voucher (can be used online and in the stores)

Please note your comments may be used by Vodafone or MN on Vodafone pages, social media or possibly elsewhere - please only add a comment if you're happy for it to be used.

Thanks and good luck

Go to a local toy or craft store and buy a few very small and inexpensive gifts specific to their age and interest. For my daughter, I bought some very inexpensive fake gems. For my son, some wooden toys, a colourful marble. Nothing expensive at all -just something completely new and different. Wrap them individually in sparkly paper and pull one out when things get challenging. The anticipation, unwrapping, and the "something new" all contribute to peace. They made this involved story together of the wooden toys trying to find the treasure of the gems with the help of a magic orb and, before long, we landed.

Well my original film was the Miracle on 34th Street. But it's being closely edged by Frozen as our christmas film of choice :)

Behoove · 12/11/2014 23:27

Up!

Christmas, going visiting, longer shopping trips, that film never gets old.
I love it too. But not when I'm driving obviously.

We bought an in-car DVD player for DD (now 3.1) last Xmas. It only comes out for long journeys (2hrs +). Her current favourites are Frozen and Jungle Book. She also loves the Bob the Builder and Thomas the Tank Engine DVDs that I found in our local charity shop!

My son plays his Nintendo DS in the car and me and my daughter sing along to the radio or play memory games. She gets car sick if she doesn't look out of the front windscreen.
