To celebrate the launch of the new Vodafone family price plan (Red+) and that this Christmas you can also enjoy a 3 month NOW TV Sky Movies with Red 4G Vodafone want to know what your fail safe film is for travelling with children!

Vodafone say "We all know those long journeys with children, especially at christmas time when they are even more excited, can feel a bit endless. These days, technology makes this a bit easier! With a 3 month NOW TV Sky Movies Pass from Vodafone, you can select a film to help pass the time for children".

Vodafone has also launched a new plan, designed specifically for families. Red+ gives you one data allowance to share and you can even cap your kids’ data so they don't go over their limit. You'll get one simple bill for all devices, saving you money compared to individual plans, and you'll also get unlimited calls and texts.

The Vodafone Digital Parenting Guide can be found here: www.vodafone.co.uk/family

So whether your children climb over seats to catch yet another screening of Frozen, or have a secret sob to Toy Story 3, please share the film you can be quietly confident will give you some peace on the journey and keep the kids occupied.

Add your comment to this thread and you’ll be entered into a prize draw where one MNer will win a £250 Hamleys voucher (can be used online and in the stores)

Please note your comments may be used by Vodafone or MN on Vodafone pages, social media or possibly elsewhere - please only add a comment if you're happy for it to be used.

Thanks and good luck

I have three DC aged between 5 and 9, this year they are all enjoying watching and rewatching the Santa Clause movies 1, 2 and 3, usually things like Elf also is another that all three enjoy.

My eldest likes Home Alone, and the girls like Disney, but we won't have any movie for our long car journey this year as DS dropped the kindle yesterday and shattered the screen.

juliebissett72 · 13/11/2014 19:21

Home Alone for sure. It's a definite Christmas time family favourite.

callkiki · 13/11/2014 19:23

Home Alone is always a massive hit and never fails

Keletubbie · 13/11/2014 19:31

Anything but Frozen. If I hear Let It Go sung once more by my 6 yr old DD, I am likely to plough head first into oncoming traffic.

Simile · 13/11/2014 19:38

They will argue between Tom & Jerry, Mr Bean movies, The Polar Express, Despicable Me 2 and How to train your dragon. All of them have inched ahead at one time or another so can't decide on a winner. Sorry.

Elf or home alone! Hilarious!

Pikkewyn · 13/11/2014 19:59

For DD1 it's Mickey's Christmas carol and for DD2 it's Muppets Christmas Carol, thankfully they have screens where they can both watch the same thing or different things - depending on how amicable they are feeling!

angeleyes101 · 13/11/2014 20:02

Shrek as the whole family loves it

mandyraw · 13/11/2014 20:08

Unfortunately, we don't have a portable DVD player, but we do listen to Christmas songs and sing along.

cozza777 · 13/11/2014 20:11

Polar express is a firm favourite :)

He enjoys watching movies so much that he has joined film club, in canning town library. Where they show children movies every thursday suitable for four year olds to ten year olds.
