To celebrate the launch of the new Vodafone family price plan (Red+) and that this Christmas you can also enjoy a 3 month NOW TV Sky Movies with Red 4G Vodafone want to know what your fail safe film is for travelling with children!

Vodafone say "We all know those long journeys with children, especially at christmas time when they are even more excited, can feel a bit endless. These days, technology makes this a bit easier! With a 3 month NOW TV Sky Movies Pass from Vodafone, you can select a film to help pass the time for children".

Vodafone has also launched a new plan, designed specifically for families. Red+ gives you one data allowance to share and you can even cap your kids’ data so they don't go over their limit. You'll get one simple bill for all devices, saving you money compared to individual plans, and you'll also get unlimited calls and texts.

The Vodafone Digital Parenting Guide can be found here: www.vodafone.co.uk/family

So whether your children climb over seats to catch yet another screening of Frozen, or have a secret sob to Toy Story 3, please share the film you can be quietly confident will give you some peace on the journey and keep the kids occupied.

Add your comment to this thread and you’ll be entered into a prize draw where one MNer will win a £250 Hamleys voucher (can be used online and in the stores)

Please note your comments may be used by Vodafone or MN on Vodafone pages, social media or possibly elsewhere - please only add a comment if you're happy for it to be used.

Thanks and good luck

If in a car we play the how many colours of cars we can see, that's good for a while, then I spy, an oldie but a goodie!. Also we get them to turn off their portable games systems and just have a proper chat with each other!

My LOs have always loved Shrek. It's never failed to keep them entertained :)

Lauren1983 · 24/11/2014 18:05

Home Alone - great film, never gets old.

chrriss · 24/11/2014 19:17

We are Scooby Doo watchers don't know what it is but keeps the kids quite all journey!

hannahlw85 · 24/11/2014 20:03

Don't watch films in the car as there's much more they can do that I feel is better for them and uses their brains than to just watch something on a screen. Singing, drawing, making up games, playing I Spy, reading are all great to entertain mine in the car.

Home Alone always keeps kids on seats and are very funny films, loads of laughs guaranteed

jacqroberts68 · 24/11/2014 21:13

For my two year old it would have to be Mickeys Once upon a Christmas :) he loves it and it always brings a smile

tanyamumof3 · 24/11/2014 22:13

frozen...top film of the year

Baconknickers · 05/12/2014 21:10

Kids like a mixture of films and games on iPad on long journeys. Christmas faves are Polar express and Elf.

serendipity1980 · 06/12/2014 09:25

We don't have DVD players in the car - we listen to audio CDs such as Julia Donoldson or theme music from Frozen, Brave, etc. Or we all join in and play iSpy or other similar games. Are we unusual?!

mrscumberbatch · 06/12/2014 09:57

We don't watch films in the car, although if I was doing a long long journey I could see it being worthwhile.

Dd's favourite film is Charlie & The Chocolate Factory... The original Gene Wilder film, not the remake.
It's always good for a singalong!

peronel · 08/12/2014 16:20

Don't allow children to watch films in the car - they stare at screens too much as it is. If I did it would be Chitty Chitty Bang Bang which they love.

ConstantlyKnackered · 08/12/2014 17:42

Mine would be one of the new films out - possibly Guardians of the Galaxy as we like that one as a family, or of course Frozen is a perfect one.

Kathderoet · 09/12/2014 04:00

Everyone loves the Polar Express, any of the Toy story movies are popular too!

mindingalongtime · 09/12/2014 13:36

Home alone, and Miracle on 34th street

Punkatheart · 09/12/2014 13:43

Anything Manga - particularly Howl's Moving Castle.

Doubtfuldaphne · 09/12/2014 16:00

My dd goes through phases of being absolutely obsessed with different films and will watch them over and over again.
At the moment, it has to be 'austin powers'! Strange choice!
