We've been asked by Cif to find out about Mumsnetters' fantasy Grin cleaning products.

Here’s what Cif have to say, "Our latest cleaning product - Cif Express Direct to Floor - can be used direct on the floor and small surfaces for a sparkling clean home. It leaves a long lasting and fresh fragrance. It's suitable for tiled, laminate and washable/ varnished wood floors. To use, you simply squirt the product directly onto the floor, then wipe with a damp mop, there's no need to rinse and it dries really fast! Now available in Antibacterial, Lemon & Apple Flowers and Wild Orchid & Velvet flowers, the RRP is £2.00 for 750 ml."

Check out the MNers review video here (and check out their feedback here):

So, what magic cleaning product would you invent? Maybe you wish for a super-speedy vacuum cleaner? Or maybe a stain remover that can remove every possible stain? Perhaps you'd like to create a dust-repellent spray so you'd never need to dust again? A loo brush that kept itself clean Wink?

Whatever your dream cleaning products are, Cif Express Direct to Floor would love to hear about them.

Everyone who adds a comment will be entered into a prize draw where one lucky MNer will win a £250 voucher for the store of their choice.

Please note comments on this thread might be used by Cif on their website or on their social media channels: please only add a comment if you're happy for your comment to be used.

Thanks and good luck,

A vacuum and mop in one that runs along the bottom of the kitchen cupboards, so when you drop something you can just tap the bottom with your toe and the gunk gets sucked away and the floor wiped immediately. Although I don't know where all that gunk would go and who would have to clean it out..!

mjmooseface, we have something that stops the wheelie bin getting smelly. A cleaner who comes every four weeks and jet washes and sanitises our bin and charges £2.50 a time! Cheaper and possibly more environmentally friendly than expensive wheelie bin bin bags? Plus he is cute and smiley and brightens up my morning Wink

I would have a magnet for plastic that picks up all those teeny invisible bits of lego that hide on the carpet until you step on them in bare feet

love the idea of a thing in the corner that sucks up dust...

a self sanitising bathroom bin would be good. With three generations of product all vying for bin space (nappies, sanitary and inco) it can get a bit whiffy...even emptying daily and using zoflora doesn't quite get rid of the malodour. I am that loo in the advert Blush

LackaDAISYcal That is brilliant! We don't have a garden hose or jet washer or anything and the thought of filling the kettle a thousand times and trying to swill it around the bin and cleaning it myself is not something I can bear to think about lol But I think we have that service around here but don't know how to sign up for it? I'll get on it!

A cleaner for mucky minds ;-) Seriously though, an instrument for cleaning down the back and in between the grids of each radiator panel. Maybe a superfine long nozzle for the Dyson (Other brands are available!)

Something that cleans the car interior without leaving that horrible creaky, greasy residue on your hands. This probably already exists, just it hasn't caught on with the £4 hand car wash lot yet Grin

Ah Cif .... firstly I would bring back "JIF" .... as Jif came before Cif !!! now please close your eyes and share my nightmare with me .... 2 large walk in showers that are mostly glass :-( beautiful when 1st installed .... but "A NIGHTMARE" in a hard water area :-( To keep these clean I have to step into the shower and stand on a bench as i am a short squirt ... and spray all these nasty chemicals and then scrub and scrub to get them clean .... and a matter of a day later its like they have never been done ... oh what i dream about is a spray that needs no scrubbing or rubbing at all ... just spray and rinse for a sparkling new shine ... please can you create that for me my cleaning angels

Some kind of washing stock control system that automatically got the clothes in the machine, washed dried and ironed before you ran out. I frequently have to snaffle DHs boxers due to a lack of clean Knicks!

A product that can clean the burnt on grime that seems to end up on the grill heating element in our electric oven. Obv can't spray oven cleaner on it but it does smell and smoke a bit.

Something that gets yellow deodorant buildup stains off DH's shirts in one easy step. Actually, I've not yet found anything that gets it off.

And something that keeps dust off the plastic TV stand, even for just 10 mins!

A torch that you just aim at things and it removes all traces of dirt, it also zaps stuff off the floor so you don't have to hoover and if you aim it all the walls it brings your paint work back to the freshly painted look.

What magic cleaning product would I invent? A window cleaner that just needs to be used once and doesn't leave any streaks

i wish there was a home suction system to suck all the dust out of my house overnight, silently, so i dont have to hoover or dust anything!

I would love to invent the self-cleaning floor and other surfaces.

I would invent a machine that just sat in a corner and quietly sucked all the dust up out of the air before it could land on any surface. you would just need to empty it about once a month, no dusting, ever!

That's doable I think?

A washing machine/tumble dryer that folds/pairs/sorts the clothes and then a robot to put them all away! :P

I want a battery operated window cleaning sponge. This device should be able to stick to the window glass and be able to be programmed with up-down and side to side motion. It should also have a strong suction to the glass so that it doesnt fall off. I should be just able to squirt some cleaning liquid on the spnge, attach it to the glass and switch it on and voila!!!! Clean windows in 5 mins. Also the other side of the window too can be cleaned now! That would be My dream cleaning machine :D

Also some sort of after-wash dirt/mud repellant spray for white shirts!
My son's school shirts change colour from white to gray/stained in half a day!! This repellant spray should be such that I can spray on his shirt in the morning and then after school just a bit of shaking the shirt will make all the dirt fall off!!

I'd like something to clean the inside of the shower, tiles included, that you don't have to rinse and soak yourself at the same time.

Glass protector that prevents cat nose and toddler finger marks showing on the window

As in the OP, dust repellent, and several people have mentioned cook away oven cleaner.

Cleaning product to remove all sort of things from painted walls. And biro /crayon/feltip from wooden tables.

I'd invent like a car wash for dogs. So when I came back from a muddy walk I could put him a box and press a button and he'd come out the other end clean.
