We've been asked by Cif to find out about Mumsnetters' fantasy Grin cleaning products.

Here’s what Cif have to say, "Our latest cleaning product - Cif Express Direct to Floor - can be used direct on the floor and small surfaces for a sparkling clean home. It leaves a long lasting and fresh fragrance. It's suitable for tiled, laminate and washable/ varnished wood floors. To use, you simply squirt the product directly onto the floor, then wipe with a damp mop, there's no need to rinse and it dries really fast! Now available in Antibacterial, Lemon & Apple Flowers and Wild Orchid & Velvet flowers, the RRP is £2.00 for 750 ml."

Check out the MNers review video here (and check out their feedback here):

So, what magic cleaning product would you invent? Maybe you wish for a super-speedy vacuum cleaner? Or maybe a stain remover that can remove every possible stain? Perhaps you'd like to create a dust-repellent spray so you'd never need to dust again? A loo brush that kept itself clean Wink?

Whatever your dream cleaning products are, Cif Express Direct to Floor would love to hear about them.

Everyone who adds a comment will be entered into a prize draw where one lucky MNer will win a £250 voucher for the store of their choice.

Please note comments on this thread might be used by Cif on their website or on their social media channels: please only add a comment if you're happy for your comment to be used.

Thanks and good luck,

A carpet cleaner that you could surface spray onto the carpet prior to vacuuming and lift the dirt out. Like those huge ones you can rent, but without the huge vacuum needed.

Something to spray on windows and mirrors which leaves no streaks.
An electric toothbrush type device (small) for cleaning round taps, plugholed and recessed edges. Possibly with integrated reservoir for cleaning fluid.

A wipe I could use on painted walls to remove food stains and crayon marks.

I love bleach! I would invent a bleach spray with a mist head that you could spray in rooms and surfaces. .but no orange marks left on clothes or fabrics, wouldn't be harmful to children or pets..and would leave a gorgeous smell. Im always finding little orange marks on dark clothes even though im careful when cleaning. I do love that bleach smell, but maybe more people would like it if it smelled nicer?

A magic table wiper, based on the same principle as the kids drawing tablets with the slide eraser. This might also work for windowsills and skirting boards!

A seriously good window cleaning product, perhaps the wave of a fairy princess wand, that doesn't require you to spend an hour trying to rub the smears away.

How about a loo cleaning fizzer like a bath bomb (or has this already been invented?).

A fridge cleaner that would work in the same way as a robotic pool cleaner, zooming around the inside of the fridge, cleaning away all the nasties, leaving it sparkly and fresh.

When the dses were small, I yearned for a spray-on boy-cleaner. Safe to use on small children's skin, but able to remove all the dirt that they can accumulate even in a clean room.

Now, I would like a vacuum cleaner that really DOES do edge-to-edge cleaning, with suction that doesn't diminish, and with an attachment hose that is long enough to do a full flight of stairs and has strong enough suction to clean that right angle on each stair where the dirt seems to collect.

Something I could spray on the shower screen that would stop limescale forming - but in a spray bottle that could produce a continuous spray - that bit is vital. You need to be able to cover a large area quickly and efficiently, without pumping the squooshy bottle eleventy million times. And without using cfcs.

Shower cleaner/ limescale remover that actually works. Have tried loads over the years, and the only thing I've found that works is to rinse and dry the shower or sink after every use.

Also something like a fly paper that attracts dust out of the room.

A tablet you can put in the oven, heat up and it makes all the greasy bits drop off so you can wipe it out easily. And it doesn't blind or gas you!

A spray that you can spray on the burnt bits on roasting dishes/oven trays that will lift them off easily.

A bed bug blaster! A hand held vacuum type thing. .especially for bed bugs..use it and be guaranteed you would get rid of any..and they wouldn't come back. Not expensive though. .everyone should have the chance to use them. (Some super cleaning devices can be too expensive for some of us!)

I haven't, Knackered - I will.

I remain convinced that, somewhere out there, there exists a cleaning product or appliance that will transform me into a domestic goddess whose house sparkles. It wasn't the dyson, or the vax carpet shampooer, or the floor steamer, nor was it any of a wide variety of sprays and chemicals. But I Have Faith. It is out there. Probably in the Lakeland shop. A clear spray that makes a film and attracts spiders. All the spiders then go onto the film and you can peel it off and throw it away. Basically I'm sick of dusting up cobwebs and seeing spiders in the plug hole.
