We've been asked by Cif to find out about Mumsnetters' fantasy Grin cleaning products.

Here’s what Cif have to say, "Our latest cleaning product - Cif Express Direct to Floor - can be used direct on the floor and small surfaces for a sparkling clean home. It leaves a long lasting and fresh fragrance. It's suitable for tiled, laminate and washable/ varnished wood floors. To use, you simply squirt the product directly onto the floor, then wipe with a damp mop, there's no need to rinse and it dries really fast! Now available in Antibacterial, Lemon & Apple Flowers and Wild Orchid & Velvet flowers, the RRP is £2.00 for 750 ml."

Check out the MNers review video here (and check out their feedback here):

So, what magic cleaning product would you invent? Maybe you wish for a super-speedy vacuum cleaner? Or maybe a stain remover that can remove every possible stain? Perhaps you'd like to create a dust-repellent spray so you'd never need to dust again? A loo brush that kept itself clean Wink?

Whatever your dream cleaning products are, Cif Express Direct to Floor would love to hear about them.

Everyone who adds a comment will be entered into a prize draw where one lucky MNer will win a £250 voucher for the store of their choice.

Please note comments on this thread might be used by Cif on their website or on their social media channels: please only add a comment if you're happy for your comment to be used.

Thanks and good luck,

A magic cloth that instantly removes all traces of both human and animal vomit without the need for excessive interaction with stringy stomach contents. Cheers.

I would like self cleaning paintwork. The paint has some sort of microbe treatment that ears dirst and so my walls/skirting/doors/window frames will all be sparkling clean all of the time...

a handy box of everything you need to clean up after kids. All the bottles/boxes fit together neatly, refills i concentrated form are available so less packaging, it would come with the cloths, scrubby sponges and scrapey sticks required for removing the grunge that flows in the wake of children sticking to their clothes, you, furniture and the rest of the house
contents:
a clothes stain remover that can cope with spaghetti sauce, biro and whatever nursery bastes them with as they leave.. even the upgraded pink stuff doesn't touch most of what covers my child by 6pm...

a floor stain remover - not carpet but wood, lino or stone. something that removes the black marks left by the stuff that sticks to the glue from 'make and do', the endless stickers and the tree sap from the garden.. see scrapey stick above, it will need a hard edge and also a clip for small scrubby sponges

carpet stain remover - able to cope with dog, cat and child experiments in mud and eviscerating small creatures.... it needs to dry quickly, actually work, smell nice and be a quick job to do

wooden table cleaner/polish - smell nice, make the wood shiny and remove pen, glue, paint, snot, spaghetti sauce, mystery grey/brown stuff and coffee...

wipes - for cleaning door handles, edges of doors, window glass, door frames etc must work on the same group as the table cleaner

spot cleaner for curtains and upholstery - to deal with the major grime groups listed above

please make me one of these kits, my house is begging you

A window cleaning product with amazing puppy nose resist qualities.

I no sooner clean that front window than an nose goes up against it again and smear we go again.

I'd like a spray that can be used outside the front door that can be applied to the underneath of all shoes and boots so that it dissolves all dirt from the soles and then you wipe off spray residue on doormat and can come indoors without having to remove your shoes or tread in mud or traces of dogs muck!

Cif Sole Spray! Keep the germs and dirt outside!

a small tablet that you put in the oven, leave it on low overnight, next morning sparkly clean.

a robotic like sponge that you switch on after you've had a bath and like a cleaner fish it makes it's way around the tub cleaning it.

a magic rug that dogs have to walk over only once and their feet are clean and dry.

guessing mine aren't very realistic. if we are going to the purely fantastic i would like to 'invent' a small house elf who lives in the cupboard under my stairs and does everything in the night whilst i'm asleep.

A magical substance that cleans up sick, antibacs the scene of the crime and genuinely gets rid of the lingering whiff of partly digested food and stomach acid.

Bet you can't guess what I've been doing for the last 24 hours.

A real life laundry fairy! Failing that... A Roomba type device that mows the lawn?

Something to mop the floor for me, I hate mopping. The equivalent of a Roomba but with water/cleaner for laminate floors. Mopba? I'm not sure it will catch on.

A self cleaning, mould repellent bath seal.

A vacuum powered child wash - like a carwash that fits to a door and cleans children on their way into the house...

Self cleaning windows.

Maybe this already exists but a loo brush that cleans itself. I mean, I hate the idea of cleaning it but i hate the idea about not cleaning it even more. Bleurgh.

Something that actually removes limescale from a shower screen (hard water area). Or Cif Sandal Cleaner - mine honk.

My dream product would be a spray that you could spray everywhere and it would magically repel dust and dirt. No need to wash and wipe again Grin Also, I would love windows that washed themselves, completely streak free.

I would love a duster of some kind that you could wipe your painted walls off with that wont smear or take the paint off with them....................

A little cleaning bomb thing that would go off in your oven.
You "arm" it, close the oven door, it goes off and.....presto! you have a sparkly oven.

A bath cleaner you just spray on and rinse off with shower, that actually removes limescale, soap scum, the 'ring' and dirty foot prints.

Floor mopping roomba equivalents (scoobas) and lawn mowing ones exist already.

I would want something that actually gets pain clean (and/or paint that can actually be cleaned)

And while we are at it, detergent that doesn't block our stupid drains and carpet cleaner/ fly spray / ant spray that are not so highly perfumed that the smell makes me ill would be handy too.

A self cleaning house. One day that will be invented and people will cry with joy. Apart from maybe cleaners.
