LA have refused SA and have now phoned and requested a meeting with me on Monday. (I am taking it to Tribunal)

What can i expect?

Im assuming they will be trying to talk me out of SA, what kind of offers are they likely to make?

Can I be on security?. As a Meerkat I could make a good lookout sentry.

wasuup3000 · 22/05/2010 19:24

I'll do the website

Oh yes, comrades, I will happily provide ample and top-notch legal guidance on all things necessary. Of course, I will cheerfully also sit with children and ask them, at 7, whether they feel they should get married and whether marriage is a good/bad thing (as per ADOS) and I will judge them ruthlessly accordingly as a result on their inability to gush with life long goals of love and matrimonial bliss!

What about running some training courses for professionals along the lines of ....'The Practitioner/Parent dichotomy: Do parents have brains too?'....or perhaps "Child experts: Do you need to meet a child more than once to know more than the parents?"

debs40 · 22/05/2010 20:39

Oooh, and how about a special SENDIST outreach team where Star, Wet, Attila et al march in behind us wearing dark shades a la Reservoir Dogs . Cue music....

DS gave me the idea. He is still up after our barbie and is dressed as a superspy!!

And even when those lessons are learnt, they lack the ability to generalise so the lessons have to be re-learnt every time ...

WetAugust · 22/05/2010 20:48

Hence the AK47 - sometimes with the LA the talking has to stop so the shooting can begin

What colour will the children's services file be? I demand to know! Especially with regard to the following issue:
Attributes of Parents'/Carers' capacities which affect their ability to respond appropriately to the Child/Young Persons Needs. This is after 2 schools failed their child and as a result the said child was out of education for 5 months.
