Hi silent watcher here, just wanted to say thank you to everyone who has posted - reading this thread has been a life saver.
I applied for a COC 11th July
Scan date 17 July
2 text messages received

received a text that child qualifies for DLA on the 14th December
Called today (option 4) and was advised that decision was made on 14th
changed from MRC to HRC and LRM !
was originally hoping for HRM but happy with the outcome.

hopefully the decisions come through ! ❤️

Hi,

First of all congratulations, so happy for you and your child. Your scan date is two weeks before mine! When did you get the text to say they qualify today or on the actual day they were awarded?

Premtwinsmummy77 · 16/12/2025 14:00

Hi all. Called up last week and was told one of my twins COC (scan date June18th) award has stayed the same. However, after speaking to someone today, I’ve been told that none of her evidence that I’ve been sending in to them since July last year has been seen! I was told to put my national insurance number on her paperwork and apparently this has meant it’s been scanned in under my name not hers?! I did also put her full name and DOB on the paperwork. Has anyone had this happen before? I’ve been told it has to go back to her decision maker to view the evidence as a decision was obviously made without all her evidence (there is a lot!) I wondered how long that may take?
Also if they still decide to keep her award the same, what are my next options? Many thanks

robodo · 16/12/2025 14:02

Update: MR 30/05/2025. Original claim awarded just MRC but I knew she would qualify for mobility (she's 6) so MR done and decision made y'day for MRC plus LRM 😭 a full year since we first applied but she now has what she deserves.

Mallysmum21 · 16/12/2025 14:20

@Princessmom222 thank you, much appreciated x! I got the text on the actual day they were awarded so on Sunday 14th and when I rang up they confirmed that a decision was made on the same day which was the14th - I was trying to wait for the letter but ended up calling today to find out the rates. & fingers crossed you’ll be up next !

Mammybear3 · 16/12/2025 15:01

Uc have apologised for the wait have done an escalation to the team which needs to be responded to by the end of the day

Hello all
phoned today and told we are in a third queue does anyone know what that means?

looking like it will be a year since I made my original application to getting any sort of information from MR - madness!

Slight update to mine

caller today to be told decision maker has emailed school and they are awaiting a response from school.

called school who said no one has had any contact from DLA …..

called DLA back to be told they can’t see how they contact school! So was it an email? Who knows!

seems they just lie ….. very frustrated, process started in January last year :(

can’t even imagine what they’re contacting school about. My child has issues with wetting and tics.

ugh ….

Hopefully it will help and you get awarded HRC for him, its agonising having to fight for what you know your child should be entitled too!
Ive just got another piece of evidence for my twins. Its an extensive report about their delayed development and that they have the mental and physical capacity of around 9-12 months old. So im really hoping it helps them as it shows them i have to carry them everywhere, I have to feed them everything, they have to be supervised at all times and that they are incapable of understanding anything i say to them.
Thank you and i will let you know if i hear anything too xx

Literally my son is the same accept he eats everything with his hands and refuses support with it looses his mind if I try get in the way of his chicken lol he’s food motivated that one but doesn’t understand when he’s full so he over eats if he manages it and the carrying just on that alone like who actually carries a 4year old that has no problems realistically clearly we need the help and my son also has the same developmental age I wish I had more evidence but we haven’t even had a paediatrician appointment yet we are waiting for him and his twin sister it’s such a long fight indeed but we will both get to where we need to be ❤️

Bless him, he must really love his chicken! My oldest daughter is the same as your son with food and seriously overeats too. Have to watch her all the time as she would eat until she popped if i let her. The carrying is the worst isnt it, especially when my hips are messed up as it is and then having to carry them everywhere its just so painful. I really get how you feel about getting the evidence and waiting for appointments, everything seems to take a ridiculous amount of time and then struggling to get the right support is super hard. I struggled with my oldest until the last two years. Luckily my twins have been under a neonatal paediatrician since they were born and then refered to another paediatrician for follow on care.
I hope he gets to see the right people soon and your able to get all the evidence you need. Xx
