Last Thursday recieved Friday

Wow! That's so quick. They told me they couldn't give a timeframe for COC as they were so backlogged

Lmtab · 14/12/2025 12:54

Anyone know what dates they are up to with MRs?

I’m 20th so that’s good to know as I’m not on Facebook and haven’t seen any posted here for a while!

i rang last week and was rudely told they can’t give updates and that I shouldn’t call again. Felt like saying that’s a bit rich when it’s taken you six whole months so far with the MR and a year in total!!!

I’ve been trying to see how to complain about unacceptable wait times but the information on how to do so is hard to find.

Hiya everyone

I'm just a smidge confused over something. Is the date they receive your form and send a text the same as the scan date? Or is the scan date another day altogether (and do you get a notification for that?)

I had a text to say they received the forms on the 20th of November but is that the same thing?

Thanks x

Is this a NC? My daughters NC is 24th and I have a MR also scan date 24/11 I was told 11 weeks for MR and 25 weeks for NC x

Lynseyxx · 14/12/2025 15:41

Hello, has anyone heard anything back from any MR that scan date are September onwards. Thanks x

M/r 10/10

Had a phone call Friday from a decision maker. Completely unexpected as I waited 28 weeks for mt other child's and that was only a month or so ago. No decision yet shes calling the school for some info .

I did my daughters MR on the 24/11, mines due to them not backdating to the date on the form. I written the reason it was late and it’s a very good reason so hoping they accept it. Did you hear back?

staybyyou · 14/12/2025 19:57

@LmtabI had a decision on my MR on Thursday. Stamp date was 24th May.

Hi. Has anyone applied for a child with encopresis and been successful?. My 10 year old has been soiling for about a year now, at first it was marks in her underwear and she said she hasn't wiped properly which I believed then it progressively got worse to full on bowel movements in her underwear, I tried dealing with it at home as she refused to see a gp but eventually she did go. They said they thought it was overflow incontinence and prescribed a stool softner, we tried this and it didn't seem to do much so she was referred to pediatrics who confirmed it's encopresis and they could actually feel.the impacted stool in her bowel and prescribed a higher dose of stool softner which we have been doing for a few weeks to clear her out, she will then have to take a maintenance dose for atleast a year. Anyway whilst all this was happening, she was also given a special educational needs plan at school, I never suspected anything neurodiverse with her (she was a little angry but I put it down to age and hormones) but apparently encopresis and neurodiversity go hand in hand. So I just wondered if anyone else has similar? Also when she isn't soiling her underwear she struggles to clean herself up as the stools are like tar, it's basically like having a new born baby again and I'm constantly replacing clothes, underwear bedsheets and I definitely think my washing machine is taking a massive hit these last 12 months x

My lo suffers constipation, it’s very bad and she is on stool softeners (withholding and sensory) Not your situation but quite close, we have daily maintenance doses, nappies still, overflow, disimpaction when needed. She is also diagnosed with autism and under salt for speech.
She receives hrc.

hope this helps

Hi, MR 16/10, called today to let them know I am sending extra information, I have been told it might be a while until I get a decision due to backlog 😅

Lmtab · 15/12/2025 10:28

MR SD 20/06 decision made today HRC LRM for two years so il be doing a bloody renewal before I even know it haha! But anyway just relived for my son I could honestly cry it’s been a full year of fighting for him.

plus how you can go from no award to HRC on the same evidence is a bit baffling. Not that I’m complaining I had fully prepared myself for the worst!

Thank you so much hope everyone else waiting for similar times gets the news they want soon! It’s so stressful.
original claim is December 2024 so it’s been a year in total to get an award. It’s such a tough system for some of us I’m glad the new claims are being done quicker but wow some us have been put through the wringer.

It’s so frustrating isn’t it seeing people awarded so quickly l, I just hope everyone gets the outcome their child deserves as quick as possible because the stress this current system causes is unreal.

Clareabelle24 · 15/12/2025 12:00

I’ve just rang them to see if there’s any update. MR 24/06 and she said it’s in a holding queue and not with a decision maker yet. It could be this week or next she thinks.

I am happy for everyone who are getting what they deserve for the children! Just seems like im always left waiting, it is very frustrating and the waits are a killer and the stress can be very overwhelming xx

Yes it’s hard to word when of course it’s great to see people awarded quickly, but when your in the thick of a six month wait it feels so unfair, I get you completely!

fingers crossed you get the outcome your LO deserves soon as poss xx
