13th may - literally feels like I’ve been waiting forever and now the waiting it making me anxious 😬

Wow it is ridiculous how long we’re expected to wait my sons MR is the 16th of June so I’m expecting to wait until after Xmas I was just curious has I’ve seen a couple of people been awarded from June I really hope you get the outcome your looking for and fingers crossed it’s not much more of a wait for you x

Just over 28 weeks since I put in the mr on may. She had the decline may 2nd and I put her original claim on april 11th.

such a long wait. It’s taking everything in me not to call to see what’s happening and if it’s been made yet 😫

Thank you. The wait is doing my anxiety no good. I’m trying not to call and hoping I get a text but with my sons I didn’t get a text or anything.

They just called. Luckily I’d just got back from school run and literally just sat down for all of 2 minutes and my phone started ringing.

Anyone else from April still waiting COC? I’m 24th April scan date. 31 week tomorrow, scared it’s not been awarded as I’ve seen a lot from April and may have had back payments. It was for mobility only, he currently receives high rate care.

Been with them since Friday last week only received phone call this morning from the dm x

Yeah had a call, they are saying to fill the form out with just the changes as they already have a note in the system to use my evidence as majority of the form but they need the actual changes in writing on a COC form as it’s a legal requirement for them to have it on that form to make a decision and that they should have contacted me to tell me this when they sent it to the COC team. They have said it wouldn't restart the claim (thank god) but it could still take a couple months depending on when it gets picked up by a DM but think that’s because they can’t give a timescale but she also said get it in asap as it could be picked up tomorrow so I’m getting the form in tonight and praying a decisions made before Christmas🙈 You heard anything yet X

I've just rang again as it's been with a decision maker since early last week and the man said they are just waiting on a call back from school then a descion will be made, I've not had a call from them at all do they always ring ?

I’m not too sure. I didn’t think they would call but they did and said decision will be made today and I’d hear back within 7 to 10 days x

I’ve called and they’re saying no decision yet. It’s really starting to get to me. As she really could do with it. The amount of appointments she has coming up is unbelievable. I just don’t get the whole conversation earlier when towards the end of the call she said can you handle a large lump sum and I said yeah that’s not an issue and she hung up x

I’ll give them another call tomorrow. As I’m literally at my wits end with all the waiting

When uc send the letter with how much backpay you are owed and the statements are updated how long does it usually take to go in the bank please?

Sounds to me like thats a possitive and that she is thinking of awarding your child what they are rightfully entitled too! Let me know how you get on x

it’s so hard she’s got blood tests every 4/6 weeks due to really low iron and her vitamin d is always low.
also cardiologist appointments epilepsy appointments. Gynaecology appointments. Autism referrals referrals for therapists due to a possible eating disorder and self harm and bad anxiety she hasn’t left the house for over 6 weeks unless it’s for school where I have to walk her there and pick her up due to how and her social anxiety is.
even then most days she’s can’t even get herself ready for school and she’s on a reduced time table and doesn’t access lessons.

Awww bless her all of that sounds extremely hard. No child should have to go through everything she is going through.

I really do hope she gets the award that she deserves and you are able to give her everything she wants ad needs.

Honestly it’s been a struggle trying to get her all the support she needs.
last year in school they had nothing in place for her apart from go to her head of year if she’s struggling but she doesn’t talk she closes everything up and has little to no emotions. And then it all explodes. It’s only this year they’ve started to put support in place where she’s not accessing lessons and she’s literally sat on the office by attendance where there’s little to no other students.

she really does need it. She’s really struggling bless her.

Bloody hell, you would think they have more support in place for her and would have the tools to accomodate her needs.
That is awful that she isnt able to access any lessons, it really sounds to me that an EHCP should be put in place to support her.

Thank you, i am actually waiting on four claims. Two NCs for my twins 27/08, a COC 24/06 for my oldest and a MR 04/08 for my second daughter and that was a straight decline but school refused to help. However they have now been very supportive as i told them when she smashes up the full classroom and hits other teachers not to call me as i was sick of going in and supporting them and coaching them how to handle her and calm her down and they wouldnt support me. She has autism, adhd, ODD, hip dysplasia, caeliacs disease, bladder incontinence and asthma xx
