Glad youve heard from a decision maker. Is this for a new claim?

Thank you... It's a mandatory reconsideration ❤️ first claimed December last year declined in may this year so nit waited long really considering other people's waits xxx

Nope haven’t heard anything yet, had a really busy week and weekend and totally went over my head to call them on Friday, Im going to call them tomorrow when I’m 29 weeks and hopefully get somewhere🙈 have you called or heard anything, you’d think with yours being for twins it would be dealt with quicker😬X

Well at least you wasnt thinking about it alot then, thats good. Yeah definitely ring tomorrow and let me know what they say. I rang today to tell them one of twins has been diagnosed with seizures caused by her holding her breath when dysregulated and she said not with a dm yet. She said they cant tell you wait times anymore!

I know, but the longer it is the time i have to send more evidence. I have some more to send tomorrow, havent told them that though! X

My little boy has been off nursery since Wednesday and still off now because he’s withholding doing the toilet, so been all go as he won’t walk and just wants carried so everything I’ve had to do this weekend has been with him attached to me more than he already is😂🙈 oh bless, such a shame and very worrying for you😭 seems to be all go for you too, hopefully our claims are dealt with in the next couple weeks and it’s one less thing to worry about X

Oh thats definitely not too long, but it is if you look at the bigger picture youve waited nearly a whole year. My MR is 04/08 straight decline as they couldnt get in contact with school and they wouldnt give me any evidence at first. Now have sent a fair few bits, plus a report from school and GP. So im hoping it will go in my favour.x

You will have to let me know once you have got your decision as it will give me a little bit of hope if yours is awarded. Im guessing mine wont be done til at least end of January anything sooner will be a bonus 😀x

Gutted..
He wouldn't give me a statement of reasons as the letter hasn't been issued yet.. apparently.

My son is 12 Asd, epilepsy came to haunt us this year. Seizures we've all been trained in rescue meds to deliver. Limited school timetable due to poor mental health and suicidal thoughts. Incontinent, can't do anything for himself. Needs constant supervision, bringing to appointments and therapies..
It's never ending the care and support he needs. We have special mattress pillows and alarms to monitor him.

All I sent was diagnosis reports and school send report and the outcome off assessments which show processing age to be 8.5 she's 14 . Ill keep you upto date I want to call now it just makes you feel on edge with the wait don't it you need to know if its another battle or if it'll be alright xxx

Both.. I was thinking of get hrc for sure due to the evidence from hospital/ neurologist and his care plan and health plan in school. It took me weeks to write I kept coming back to it to make sure I was capturing everything.

I thought maybe HRM but wasn't overly bothered about that.

I'm new to all this. Phoned for the forms on 29/10 and got a text on 20/11 to say they've received them back. Will they review it based on the date they actually receive and scan them? Not the date they sent them?

I'm really nervous as I struggled a lot to write it all down, but still needed 3 extra pages to get across all of her care needs through the day. It's probably all nonsense and they won't know what to make of it!! I looked at all the guides and tiktoks etc but somehow it just never looked the same as they did it however many times I tried.

It's been 4 days and I'm already getting into a tiz! I hope it's not going to be too many weeks!

Technically your claim start date is from the day you called to request the forms. Your scan date is they date they recieved them back. Most people start the wait time weekly count from the scan date so for you thats the 20/11.
Try not to worry give it til I would say mid January due to them closing for Christmas and new year then give them a call if you want an update.

Good luck

Anyone know the address to send of extra evidence. I had it written down but cant find it.

Google says its
Freepost DWP DLA Child.
That's all it says for address.
Include a cover note or letter explaining what you are sending.
Make sure to include all details at the top of each page, keep originals and send a copy of all in case lost.
Also recommends sending recorded delivery so you have proof it was sent and received.
Gov.uk literally says put nothing else on the envelope except the address and tracking details.

Okay similar to what ive sent then accept she hasnt got a diagnosis yet, still on the waiting list. It puts you on edge but at least its been looked at and your close to the end. You should definitely ring back first thing tomorrow on option 4 and theyll be able to tell you outcome. I really do hope it goes in your favour. Fingers crossed for you xxx
