Hi all, NC- SC- 29/10
Patiently (impatiently) waiting 😬 New claims do seem to be processing quite quick at the moment,
when do you think would be an appropriate time to call for the first time and chance it for an update?
Thanks everyone and good luck!

My NC are 27/08. Im currently on hold waiting to speak to someone for an update. I was going to leave it til the end of the week but im just too impatient 😐

Princessmom222 · 24/11/2025 11:08

@Kirsty3kids have you heard anything?

I really hope you get an update today! I’m thinking I’ll give it 6 weeks and if not heard anything I’ll ring and see if there’s anything they can tell me 🤞🏼

Seems like where going to be waiting a lot longer ano they was sorting my daughters identification out but that was like 3 weeks ago surely that’s been sorted now they just keep saying the same thing it’s with a case worker and can’t give you that information.

JadziaH · 24/11/2025 13:31

I'm new to all this. Phoned for the forms on 29/10 and got a text on 20/11 to say they've received them back. Will they review it based on the date they actually receive and scan them? Not the date they sent them?

I'm really nervous as I struggled a lot to write it all down, but still needed 3 extra pages to get across all of her care needs through the day. It's probably all nonsense and they won't know what to make of it!! I looked at all the guides and tiktoks etc but somehow it just never looked the same as they did it however many times I tried.

It's been 4 days and I'm already getting into a tiz! I hope it's not going to be too many weeks!

From scan date to decision for my boy it was just over 5 weeks. But total process just over 12 weeks, approaching 13 for paperwork and backpay.
NC
NC start date 1/9
SD 14/10
Decision 20/11 MRC + LRM for 2 years.
It can be quick probably just depends who's desk you land on.

Princessmom222 · 24/11/2025 13:47

Anyone know the address to send of extra evidence. I had it written down but cant find it.

Thats ridiculous. I had same problem with mine at first but managed to get is sorted fairly quickly. At least your is with a DM and you should hopefully hear something soon. Mines not even with anyone, i think it may be because theyre twins tbh. But ive got more evidence to send of again haha!

Im glad yours got done so quickly and im glad your child got what they deserve. But they should definitely do it in date order and bring down the wait times for people doing COC and MR too. Im waiting on both aswell haha. But i called for my forms on the 28/07 and was scanned onto the system on the 27th even though i sent it two weeks prior to that! Haha so feel like ive been waiting ages lol.
Ive also got more evidence to send off, so at least its a plus that im waiting so long and actually have time to send off all my proof.

Are there still no updates on any of your kids claims?

No scan date 24/06 for COC and 4/08 for MR. But ive got loads of evidence for both of them and i mean loads so will take them a while to get through it all.

Its so hard though im at hospital or appointments every week, i have at leat 2 every week and sometimes i have 2 or 3 in same day haha. Its costing me an arm and a leg to get to them all, plus the amount of toys, furniture, clothing, bedding and other things i get through. Because they smash everything up when dysregulated and my second daughter has no control of her bowels or bladder.

One of the twins has been diagnosed with seizures that have been brought on by her holding her breath because she struggles to regulate her emotions. She will pass out, go floppy, turn blue and have a mini seizure. This can last a couple of minutes but then i have to monitor her the full night to ensure she is okay. Shes been doing it more frequently. Her and her twin also headbutts the floor when angry to the point where i have to go hospital. Its all getting a lot harder, especially with these too getting older along with the other three.

Reach to your local MP.
Not councillors, your MP.
1 Could help get you answers faster both in terms of this but also medical waiting times.
2 They also might be able to see what other support is available to help your family get through this time with less stress and worry.
We all know any support no matter how small helps so reach out and see if there's any you could get to help.

Ive just done this in regards to housing. As we have 5 children, 4 adults in a small three bedroom house. We have a social worker because our kids are violent to each other and cause each other black eyes, multiple bite marks and other injuries. They have got onto them as council are refusing to rehouse, but social are fuming about it as all the girls need their own space due to their disabilities. So theyre fighting to get us into band A at the moment. We live with my parents as our previous house was full of mold and i had to premature babies and i spent over a year fighting to get it sorted. So my dad said we could stay here temporarily until we got a house. Been over two years now.

He had a stroke last year, he also has multiple other disabilities too and he cant cope with the kids and their behaviour and he also sleeps on a couch so not healthy for him. So he said we need to move asap.

Glad youve heard from a decision maker. Is this for a new claim?
