I gave in and called he said COC are taking up to 30 weeks and mine is waiting to be assigned to a case manager. 28 weeks today for COC.

ST1234 · 21/10/2025 15:35

COC 30 weeks yesterday and still not been assigned to anyone

They are usually with a dm at 30 weeks, I hope the wait hasn’t got any longer 😞

They will backdate to original scan date. And if you requested forms they will backdate to that date.

Oh right thank you! Fingers crossed!
I requested the original forms back in feb!

I think your sd is just before ours, our 30wks is up 12th Dec:-/

Yeah mines is 2nd of December. Decisions seem to have came to a slow stop for COC, Tuesday is normally a good day for decisions too X

Daryl54 · 21/10/2025 17:08

Thankyou every one for all the info I appreciate it so much ❤️ xxx

LoudAquaViper · 21/10/2025 17:39

Any April MR’s done in the last couple days? I’m 22/04 wanna see roughly how long we gotta wait as yesterday still wasn’t with a DM!

I would not be so stressed about it, but his renewal is not for two years :-/

Mumof1xox · 21/10/2025 18:02

@LoudAquaViper it’s looking like another 3/4 more weeks

Same my little boys renewal is March 2027. I done an mr in March as he was awarded LRC but I asked them to put a note in the system that his sleeping had changed and and he was prescribed melatonin before it went to the DM in March but a decision was made the day before I got the Prescription and a report from the paediatrician explaining his night needs and that they had been ongoing for 4 months so they gave me 30 days to send as late evidence but then sent me a letter 8 weeks later and said that it wasn’t an mr, it was more of a coc🙈 so really I’ve been waiting since middle of March and it just seems to be taking longer😭X

Hopefully in the next 2 weeks you will hear something. I've had nothing, it will have been with a DM a week tomorrow. Think I'm going to call tomorrow whilst I'm out and see what they say, fully expecting them to say either its still no decision or they've declined it

Mine got to bang on 30 weeks last week and got assigned to a DM, hopefully yours will in the next day or so, it just seems to be getting longer and longer

Someone on Facebook has just had their decision for COC at 31 weeks so they seem to be going the full 30 weeks now for a decision, I’m 24 weeks today so looking at early December for a decision for me, hopefully they start focusing on COC and MR and get this backlog down before Christmas so we dont have wait until next year , I didnt seen many CoC awarded last week X

I'm 31 weeks tomorrow and been with a DM a week tomorrow, so I'm hoping I get a decision soon because this is ridiculous, I think I must be the only March one left now

I have just been told that my application is now with the team to attach a reference number. In others’ experience, how long does this part take and does this mean an award is likely?

Same with my son the guy on the phone said it could take a couples weeks, I don’t know if that’s the actual truth or not though

Which day was the last day you called for an update? I was thinking if they made the decision Friday it would be in your bank tomorrow if they have changed the award or if they made the decision over the weekend or Monday it would be in your bank Thursday. Surely they have made the decision by now, I’m going to be out most of tomorrow but tag me and let me know how you get on, I’m really hoping you’ve got the award your wanting 🤞

I was told last week that it is only sent for the reference number to be attached if the award is likely. Hopefully that’s the case and we aren’t waiting for too long.

Thats not true, as the reference number is on top of all letters. Even ones with decline. The reference number is your childs national insurance number

Really? I had no idea it was likely, the man on the phone was helpful but there wasn’t really anything to report back to me. Fingers crossed then I don’t really have the mental strength to go through Mr or tribunal

Mine doesn’t have a reference number that’s the child’s NI number as it’s a clerical number given instead that’s starts CL1.

Is anyone else waiting along time for back pay from UC? The elements for carers and disabled child have been added on to my last 2 statements but still waiting on back pay they said they referred it to a decision maker on the 16th September but still nothing

I called Friday and nothing had been made then.
Nothing in the bank this morning either. I'm going to call them this morning I think, its 31 weeks today, I think I'm the last of the March dates to be done! Its ridiculous now

Thanks hun, I think I'm going to call, its been with a DM for a week now, others have had their decision on the same day, I'm so worried they are going to decline and change the rates as well, this is all just so stressful

Good luck, I think there is a March date the week behind you still waiting, they put her COC in the wrong pile
