Im not even going to lie to you, my newphew has ataxia due to his neurological condition and is also a wheelchair user and cant walk far at all, and she did have to take them to tribunal. But it also depends on how good your evidence is. Fingers crossed 🤞🏻🤞🏻for you that you wont havs to go through that. Youve both been through enough to have ti deal with that too

We got MRC, HRM renewal date March 27 (his 15th birthday)

Hayley851985 · 03/10/2025 09:47

Feeling devastated. MR 17.4 decision made 1.10 for LRM was applying for HRM - declined. It’s so frustrating because I truly believe my daughter should get HRM but I don’t think I can go through a tribunal now.

My DS got awarded last week for a NC. I sent my other DS renewal form last week, it’s due to end January 2026, do they do renewals close to the end date? Or before? It’s our first renewal x

Yes, renewals are done roughly a week to a few days before the end of your existing claim

LoudAquaViper · 03/10/2025 09:57

Any April MR’s waiting. Just seen on Facebook a 17/04 MR had a decision.

mines 22/04 so hoping mine may have slipped through for a decision soon

3isenough8 · 03/10/2025 10:21

Ahh really sorry to hear this.. Was you doing a M/R for smi or Vuw what diagnosis does your child have, age, and what kind of evidence did you include?
It is so frustrating to wait 6 months for a M/R and not be awarded what you feel your child deserves and then tribunal is like another 12 month wait.. You could put in for tribunal and just see as some are overturned by DLA in the first 8 weeks before you even get a hearing date.
Im 4/4 MR i haven't called for update but heard nothing as yet

KellyBub · 03/10/2025 12:00

MR 04/04 , called the other day and told still not assigned! Either ours has been forgotten about or is it all area dependant too?

Scaffwife · 03/10/2025 13:00

Minigems258 · 03/10/2025 13:06

I'm 04.01 still waiting. If we get declined I'm not gonna bother with Tribunal I think I will just reapply again!

Had a decision on one of my sons his was a n/c scan date 15/8 wasnt expecting it to be done was calling up with more evidence he told me it was done and declined if I send the new evidence within 30 days can be treated as late evidence and can be looked at without needing a mandatory reconsideration , Im not surprised as I didnt have much evidence as we're only just awaiting appointments with peadtrician but hes suspected adhd and really struggles with his emotions etc . Fingers crossed on the mandatory reconsideration for my other son .

MadHouse24 · 03/10/2025 14:15

Hi I have just been told that a renewal decision has been made today but they said they couldn’t tell me the outcome. How do people get them to tell you over the phone as I have seen that people do get told? x

ellierose99 · 03/10/2025 15:41

Called today and was told that we should hear back in November. NC scan date 04/06. No idea why others are being done so quickly.

I just don't get it. Im 24th June and they are even processing NC in August. Im happy for them, but its the fact when you call for an update and they almost laugh at thought of you wanting an update.

Curlycookie5 · 03/10/2025 16:01

@Lissac86 have you heard anything yet?

That's exactly where I'm at. The guy on the phone was nice but said not to phone back until the end of November.

CheekyFinch · 03/10/2025 16:09

Spoke to a lovely lady today and she explained that if you don't complete the 'child reference number' part, then after the decision maker has seen it, it goes to another department to assign the child reference number. That could be the cause of delays for some, perhaps?

There’s still loads of March coc to do aswell. I think I’m looking at 30 weeks for a decision 😞
