Had a text this morning to say my child has qualified, how long after this did you get a payment ? It is a nc. Not sure what he has qualified for yet but the text says not to ring unless I haven’t received a letter after 2 weeks , nothing is showing as pending into my account . Also how often is it paid is it monthly ?

Wow 20 weeks for both on a COC, that’s amazingly quick! Congratulations will you be calling to find out the rates and length they’ve awarded?

I swear I've been forgotten! 30 weeks today! I've just spoken to my MPS secretary and she is going to contact DWP for me and ask for it to be looked at urgently, so maybe that will move things along

Contact the health visiting department. ( he won't be under them anymore as he is at school) but ask them for information on local services. They should sign post you to the correct place to help you.

I totally understand your struggles. My 1st 2 are 37 and 31 and my daughter who is now 7 is Autistic and then her little brothers are also. So its really difficult.

What is your scan date ? As they go from your scan date not the date you phoned from the forms. But when your claim gets accepted. It will be back dated to when you called for the forms.

It finally happened!! Got back pay for HRC LRM today. Exactly 19 weeks. SD 04/06 NC. I think she's entitled to HRM but I didn't really have the evidence to back it up so I'll probably do a COC once I have it. Good luck everyone x

Thank the gods !!! Im so pleased for you. Hopefully I won't be much longer. But I think il have to wait at least 20 weeks. If not 25. But hey enjoy being able to support your little one x

yes I'm just in the hold queue now to try to get through, he's almost 5 so got my fingers crossed the DM has finally not given a 1 or 2 year award this time with all the evidence they had.

New claim 24th oct 2024
Awarded LRC only in march 25
MR 4/4
Just had a call from the DM she had some questions regarding his night needs and mobility
She gave me decision on phone shes awarding HRC and LRC 💫💫💫
Good luck everyone

1995SENNDMUM · 15/10/2025 11:13

So 27/5 COC just spoken to them on the phone, they've definetly done from MRC to HRC back dated and then LRM from his 5th birthday next month. Its only until November 2027 so the DM for some reason only did it until his 7th birthday but not going to risk the award on trying to get anything longer as he's in SEN school now and we might just get his ADHD/LD assessment by the time his renewals due for more evidence anyway.

I think you are the only person waiting infront of me now 😵‍💫 they have got to be making your decision today surely, 30 weeks is far to long! Will you be calling today or are you going to wait til tomorrow? Hoping you get the high rate your hoping for after all this time 🤞

I'm convinced they have forgotten me, I don't understand how I'm the only person waiting from March now, its so frustrating and I'm a nervous wreck that they are just going to decline it now its hit 30 weeks, just to get rid of it and out the queue.
I'm going to call tomorrow after work if I've not heard anything

Congratulations, I still can’t believe you’ve been done so quick, I bet it was a shock seeing that payment this morning! My daughter will be 5 in December too so hopefully if they don’t award the HRM they will give her the LRM from her 5th birthday.

I was fully expecting to be waiting until January so a nice suprise. But so grateful it's sorted already as my DH changed jobs last year so we stopped being eligible for UC so I can reapply for that today as DS will now get the severe disability payment part which takes us back over the line of being eligible for UC again.

I have been checking the thread on and off to see if your child's MR had been done.
Really pleased for you/ your child on the positive outcome 😊.

PositivityRipples · 15/10/2025 12:01

@Harrysmummy2016 @Curlycookie5 @Garfield456 Thank you all im so relieved, the DM was lovely she went through alot of questions though, asking what happens in the night and why and what i have to do ect what happens outside and why school have to restrain the child so much and so often it was quite intense.. But she said yep okay so LRM and then said lets look at MRC and HRC and asked questions and then said okay so I'll give him HRC and she confirmed at the of the call HRC and LRM backdated a year, she explained why its only a 2 year award and what the DM guide states and what to put on renewal ect and what to send in to keep same rate at renewal or to change to HRM as my child meets all criteria for smi HRM but not official diagnosis yet as he has complex overlapping disabilities with Autism and pda, adhd and trauma and ptsd so she said once diagnosed ASD do a COC or just give evidence on renewal she then just had a chat for about 10 mins about our stupid Prime minister and his bullshit 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤔

I can’t see you not having a decision by then and if you haven’t then something is seriously wrong! I wonder if you will get a text tonight or a call from the dm at some point today?

This is so positive thank you for sharing, I worry incase they call and it’s a grumpy person that’s not easy to talk to and I completely mess it up but your dm sounds lovely and easy to talk to. Congratulations again ☺️

She was lovely she just chatted and seemed compassionate which is always nice when you're e talking negatively about your own child its not easy to be like yeah my child is this that and the other, the fact she was like lets look at mobility so i knew how to answer and then said lets look at care she explained she was looking at MRC and HRC and started asking about night needs so again i knew how to anwser.. I did ask her a few questions as i wasn't sure when she asked can you child physically walk i said can you define the question and she did she Said any physical limb issues or pain so then i could go into explaining about the mental and emotional side of not being able to walk at times. If anyones expecting a call just dont be worried to ask what they actually mean or write yourself some brief notes before they call..
Good luck to everyone waiting hopefully they get the backlog down so all the children get their entitlements 💫💫
