My son was awarded hrc 10/3 but UC have only paid 2000 does that seem right if it does then that's ok but just wondering

It depends on what your assessment periods are. If you look back on your statements it will tell you.

Marissa90 · 09/10/2025 14:22

Does anyone know how long after the phone call with the decision maker do they make a decision? Mr date 31/03

LocoCoco13 · 09/10/2025 15:16

When updating UC do I need to wait for a letter or can I do it now since I know what dates ive been awarded from? Would they have it on their system yet that the award has changed?

LoudAquaViper · 09/10/2025 15:44

So I just called to ask if they’ve recieved extra evidence I have sent in which they had. I then asked whilst I was on the phone where we were at regarding the claim and he said it’s still with the mandatory reconsideration team, no decision yet… does that mean still in queue or with a DM or what does that mean?😂

Hi, can anyone translate this? It's regarding my grandson, he had COC and was awarded high rate care (was previously Middle) UC have back dated the high rate element but we was expecting about 1200 in back but was only awarded 450, when I wrote on the journal and asked why I had only been paid 450, this was their response.

Edited

I believe when people moved over from tax credits they had a payment protection period amount on there, now there has been a change added that has been taken off so it’s giving you less amount of back pay

You can do it straight away with your dates

You can do it straight away if you have the date it’s been awarded from, I’m not sure if it goes on there straight away but they don’t verify it straight away either, so it will show by then.

Abwill · 09/10/2025 16:01

Anyone know how long you usually hear after your back in the queue with case manager once they received your extra evidence they requested? X

BananaPudding12 · 09/10/2025 17:22

I have NC SD 26/8 and when i rang on Monday to check if they had received my extra evidence they said that quite a few around my date had already been done so shouldnt be too long. Has anyone else been awarded that quickly?

Basically they have taken away your transitional protection because of the change so they owe you less than you thought they would.

Good luck 🤞 you may have a decision by tomorrow

I called this afternoon, still in the queue, still not been picked up! She said that she didn't want to give me any other information and get my hopes up, just that I'd get a text when a decision was made! To be fair she was a really nice lady, she said it shouldn't be to long now, but at this point I'm convinced I'll never get an answer lol

I think yours will go to dm tomorrow or over the weekend if the scan date the day before you is with a dm today. That call handler clearly knew how close you was 😂 good luck

I hope you're right, I just want to know now, even though I feel sick because I've convinced myself we will be denied, atleast I won't have the torture of waiting for it to be looked at

Scaffwife · 09/10/2025 19:26

Lissac86 · 09/10/2025 20:25

I started mine before i got decision letter. I asked for a detailed reason as to why she was declined. Then i used this to get additional proof to show why they are wrong. My MR is 05 of august, so i have a very long wait.

Daryl54 · 10/10/2025 07:30

Yeah i was told 30 weeks when i rang to say i was sending of extra evidence. My MR is from a new claim straight decline. It was due to lack of evidence from school. However school have now give me all the evidence i need! I also have a COC 4th of August so got a long wait for that one too and im trying to get HRC.

Mumof1xox · 10/10/2025 09:22

Hi I could have sworn Mr. was ahead of COC, am I missing something? 🥲 @Daryl54

Daryl54 · 10/10/2025 09:48

Hi @Mumof1xox they say different each time I ring to be fair when I phoned bout three weeks ago they said they were on middle march too lol 😂 and I shouldn’t have to wait much longer 😂it’s 27weeks today I want to ring up again but am scared they tell me not to ring back hahaha xx
