Spoke to someone he said they’re working on Feb COC and said to send evidence as could be another 2 months but then said they will be up to April in 3 weeks.

They always back track on what they say 😂 I’m April too so hopefully it won’t be long before we hear anything. My daughters ehcp has just changed too but it’s not enough to print all that out to send in so I told them to add a note on the phone the few changes.

Mumof1xox · 09/10/2025 11:09

Hi everyone, does anyone know what month they’re up to now for mandatory reconsiderations? Are they still working on March ones or have they started on April yet?

Update:

SD - 20/06/2025 (New Claim)

Just received a letter asking us to send in our Sons Birth Certificate which I have just done.

Not sure if it’s a good thing or a bad thing in terms of time to hear back.

Maybe it shows our claim is finally being dealt with but guessing it could still be a whilst longer!

Will update with the next stage once it happens :)

Garfieldthecat · 09/10/2025 11:53

Can anyone help with where on the UC journal I would report the change for dd’s DLA from MRC to HRC?

Moolikeyou · 09/10/2025 11:59

SD 18/03 COC

Just called again after calling last week and she said it’s being looked at as we speak - it’ll be 30 weeks next week

How long did they award for? I was wondering if they do a longer award if a child gets HRC and HRM? So extremely happy that you got the right award! Hopefully it won’t be much longer for my decision 🤞

It’s under people that live with you, then go to the child’s name to do the change, remember to write on your journal to get the back pay

Its still only 2 years so until jan 2027. Bit disappointed in the award lenght tbh but ill not thibk about it until the time comes and il be a stress head again. I do think if your award is almost uo they will give a longer one as I know my friends little girl got award hrm a few weeks ago after a COC and her award was made until shes 12 and shes only 5

Hi, can anyone translate this? It's regarding my grandson, he had COC and was awarded high rate care (was previously Middle) UC have back dated the high rate element but we was expecting about 1200 in back but was only awarded 450, when I wrote on the journal and asked why I had only been paid 450, this was their response.

Edited

Transitional protection is just to stop them being worse off when they swapped from legacy benefits so if they were never on those legacy benefits then the amount of UC they were due even with the child disability element on there was only to the amount they ve calculated I think. Still better off but not as high due to the transitional protection.

Mumofthree1989 · 09/10/2025 14:12

Not long off the phone with DLA. COC in holding queue. Says they’re working on March dates. I asked if they had received the email from my local MP but he said he can’t see it and that it’s probably gone to the email team for review. So bored of this wait now!
