Thank you, I will give that a try today 🙂

Sorry, It was June not May 🤦🏼‍♀️ it's been 11 weeks and the letter had said 15 weeks. I'd read people previously saying they'd waited longer than the 15 weeks, so it just took me by surprise, as I'd tried not to think about it until the 15 weeks were at least up in September.

New claims seem to be less than 15 weeks at the moment, good luck when you call

COC 06/05
seems to have only took a couple weeks for them to get from February to March decisions for coc so hopefully that’s the case instead of taking a months to get through a month worth of claims, I’m going to phone tomorrow to see if the evidence I sent online (Scotland so can send it online) has went through ok and try and see if they have any updates, last time I called 2 weeks ago they said it was with the reviewing team, does anyone know what that means?X

They seem to be all over the place, there is still loads of Feb scan dates still waiting but a lot of end of March has had their decisions already, I’ve just emailed to chase up evidence I’m waiting for because I’m 8/4 and was thinking I have ages to wait for it and send it in, but now I just don’t know anymore 😵‍💫

A reason February ones could be taking a bit longer could be because of the summer holidays and they are waiting for schools to get back to them, in Scotland the schools have been back for a few weeks. Me too, I thought I wouldn’t get a decision until end of November/ beginning of December if it’s roughly 30 weeks but seems to be 22 weeks and going faster now. I was waiting on paediatrician reports from April and just received them now so if a letter is sent out no doubt I won’t receive it until weeks later. I’ve had to write 3 pages of changes and updates since the paediatrician report in April and send that so your having to do changes for your change of circumstances it’s taking that long🙈X

Mum2x4boys · 28/08/2025 10:33

Hi I’m not sure they have a particular order I’m COC SD 24/2 when I called just over a week ago they said they were still in early feb even though I’ve seen a couple of COC from early march on here go through.

I’ve been sending in evidence as and when I receive them, they must have loads to look through when they get to my COC, I’m waiting for the paediatrician report to come because my daughter has got worse than when I first submitted my COC and the paediatrician see it all 🤦‍♀️ I have sent in evidence about her getting worse but with the paediatrician seeing it herself I think that will help.

Abh92 · 28/08/2025 10:57

Hello, I was wondering if anyone could help I called today about my sons renewal claim and was told a decision was made on the 22nd of August (SD 04/06), does anyone know how long payment takes to go in as a freind said no longer than 3 days I’m worried his claims been denied, thanks xx

Are you doing it for mobility? My little one was awarded LRC in March, I was waiting on the paediatrician to prescribe melatonin and for evidence on sleep but she prescribed it the day after he was awarded even though I was asking for help with his sleep for months prior so I done an mandatory redetermination (I’m not sure if that’s the same as an mr) and sent evidence over and they had 56 days to make a decision but they said mine was more of a COC so I’ve been waiting since March 26th but they sent my MR to COC on the 6th of May. Ive sent over lots more evidence now, he does have mobility issues but the paediatrician thinks it more sensory even though she only seen him for 15 minutes but he’s on a waiting list for the community paediatrics for a proper diagnosis so could be months before he’s seen to to see if its something more. There is evidence of his mobility on the report but I’m just hoping he gets care awarded higher so I can get him seen privately for his mobility and physio because I’m having carry him constantly and his little body is always exhausted from stimming and walking on his tip toes his whole body goes rigid and stiff when he walks X

I think it cuts off at 5.30 if you are already on the phone waiting. Did you manage to get through?

they answered at 5:23pm!! Mad how long it takes to get through. So my little boy got HRC & LRM he didn’t say when he would get it til but I can wait for the letter now to find out x

I’ve done a coc for care and mobility, when I first applied she only had a nursery report and received MRC at 3, I knew this award didn’t meet her needs at the time but I didn’t have the evidence to prove it. Now she is nearly 5, about to start school, she’s been diagnosed and has been either seen by professionals or is on the waiting list. I’ve sent in …
ehcp
blue badge application and acceptance
educational psychologist report
TAF report
Community paediatrician report with diagnosis on
sleep diary
walking diary
IEP
Loads of nursery reports
emails between me and new school SENCo
musculoskeletal report
cardiology report
bowel and bladder
salt waiting list
27 page statement for smi referring back to evidence.
I can’t see them reading through it all but the phone handler said to me to send in as much evidence I can so the DM gets a good picture of my child.

Renewals just carry on on the date you would normally receive it if rewarded, some people have had an odd payment but not many.

I asked for a MR in Feb for my son’s DLA. It’s now been 28 weeks and I’ve just had a call to clarify some info. Didn’t sound positive😔

What date in Feb are you? What makes you think it didn't sound positive? Xx

my little boy is turning 4 next week, but he’s been seen by 2 different paediatrician for 2 appointments one before he was 3 and one in april. Also 6 speech and language appointments. He started attending nursery in November for 2/3 times a week for 2 hours but honestly it’s more hassle than it worth as it’s such a struggle to get him in, he’s runs out the doors, out the car before we even get to nursery. He's 5 next year which is when I’ll try for mobility as I’m not too fussed about that right now. Hopefully once he’s seen by community paediatrics they get the ball rolling with everything else.

when I first claimed I sent
Paediatrician report from June last year saying he was on the pathway
6 speech and language appointment letters
Occupational therapy report
educational psychologist report

for Coc
melatonin prescription
Other medications he is on for withholding the toilet
New paediatrician report which has his sleeping and other evidence on it
Letter from health visitor as she’s the one that referred him for autism
A statement from my mum
community paediatrics waiting list letter

so hoping what I’ve sent is better than last time around and he’s gets what he deserves, good luck with your little ones X

11th Feb - They said that they hadn’t made a decision yet, but when I receive the letter in 8 days, I can decide what to do from there. Which gave me the impression that it wasn’t going to be a yes.

Oh no, you should try calling them today, if they've made a decision they will be able to tell you over the phone xx

COC, scan date 13/02/25
I rang last Thursday to be told that they were looking at early February cases at the moment so I should hear something soon. A week later and no news so I rang again just now to be told that they are not giving out any progress information regarding change of circumstances, the guy I spoke to said they are having to many parents/guardians calling them and it's slowing things down, he then went on to say the only thing I can tell you is that they are currently working on January and they are now doing it strictly by date order and not prioritizing any. So the waiting continues 🙄

They have got to be joking! You’ve been waiting ages! I hope you hear something soon and it was just a call handler that couldn’t be bothered to check.
