My coc scan date is 13/02 still not with a dm but told it will be very soon. I’m not hopeful

Curlycookie5 · 19/08/2025 14:48

Does COC get backdated to when we called for forms if they change the rate?

@Mywold @itsonlyjoan thank you.

Pleased to know the appointee can do the telephone interview, I'll let my daughter know.
At the moment my grandson wants to do the interview to say "no comment" as they do on the tv🤣🤦‍♂️

When I had the call the lady never even asked if my son was wait me or to speak to him. They are very understanding that’s why we are the child’s appointee.

My son was 16 in February he was on HRC and LRM DLA he was awarded HRC and HRM on PIP for 6 years in June, very easy process your DLA payments will not stop until PIP has made a decision. I waited 8 weeks from sending forms back, sent forms back waiting 2 weeks got a call asked a few more questions I was on the phone no more than 10 minutes, then waited 6 weeks for the decision. Good luck.

Hello my child will turn 17 in January and ive filled the forms for his pip application I've had a call from the assessor's this morning it was unexpected, it lasted about 25 minutes. She said to expect a a letter in 4 to 6 weeks.
My question is did you receive a text message? to say " thank you your pip review is complete.. we will write with a decision" or something along those lines. She said my child's pip application is paper based. I'm just a bit concerned I've not received that message
Thank you in advance xx

That's good to hear.
Also did DLA transfer all the details they had on file to PIP?

Another waiting game for me now. I’ve sent my dla forms off today for my other son!

Jenni20 · 19/08/2025 18:06

Also, did a change on UC to say I’m a carer. And then messaged in journal to ask for disabled child element and carer element to be backdated to start of claim. Is that correct?

That's okay.
I have all of his EHCP's and his current one for college.
I've also got his autism assessment/ confirmation of diagnosis.
I also managed to find his original letter confirming his ADHD(severe to moderate) and ODD.

Did you also do a change of circumstances that the child is receiving dla?

No i just got a letter a week after the app with capata he use to get lrc and lrm but but gets lrc now we got the forms week after he was 16 and was awarded round sept for pip last Yr hes 18 next may hes award runs out 2027

WanzieMrsA · 19/08/2025 21:05

Hi all,

I'm wondering if anyone else has experienced this.

Sent off my claim for my son about 10 days ago, had a text a couple days letter to say they have received it and the wait is around 25 weeks.

Then a week later I have had a missed call from DWP saying you've recently made a claim for DLA and she just wanted to confirm some details with me and would try calling again.

Is this normal? A week after receiving it? I mean obviously if she doesn't ring in the morning I will call and find out but my overdrive mind is panicking that I've made a really silly mistake for them to be calling so soon. I wasn't even expecting it to be looked at.

I'm thinking maybe she went to put it on the system and notice a typo in address?

Thanks Confused
