MR scan date 12.02
27 weeks of waiting.
Called today, not allocated to a dm, lady on the phone told me not to call until a decision has been made.
Anyone else had any luck?

Scan date 13.02. Called last week at week 26 to be told it’s still in holding pile. I think I will ring next week at week 28. I’m too impatient to wait for a letter as with previous experience can take a few weeks to come!

thats great :) was it a text for the MR? Was just wondering if they send them out as standard as it would be great to get a text as post here takes ages !!

I know they tell you not to call but when youve been waiting over 6 months it's a bit hard not to 🙄 the letters take ages to come, sending a text should be standard I reckon. Seen people for MR getting awarded for scan dates 2 or 3 weeks after ours too, the wait is so annoying 🤣

I know! I’ve seen quite a few MRs from end of Feb being awarded on Facebook groups. I guess it’s a bit of pot luck towards the end. On the other hand new claims seem to be so much quicker than when I originally applied last September! Back then it was approx 20 weeks wait !

My son was 16 in February he was on HRC and LRM DLA he was awarded HRC and HRM on PIP for 6 years in June, very easy process your DLA payments will not stop until PIP has made a decision. I waited 8 weeks from sending forms back, sent forms back waiting 2 weeks got a call asked a few more questions I was on the phone no more than 10 minutes, then waited 6 weeks for the decision. Good luck.

I don’t have the screenshot anymore but from what i remember you go onto people living with you and do a change of circumstances for the child that has been awarded Dla and put the date they have been awarded from then go to your journal and put you have only just been notified that your child has been accepted for Dla and could this be backed to the date they’ve backdated Dla to, if you are claiming carers element aswell state you want the disability and carers elements to be backdated.
