Option 4 is who I rang earlier and they gave me the outcome 😊

Loz21biu · 22/07/2025 15:20

I called back option 4. He was awarded! MRC and LRM! Chuffed for him

Any MRs done today?

I’m not sure I’ve seen any today; although not sure I’ve seen any COC either - not sure where they’re up to those dates wise. I’m not very good at waiting 🫣

MrsB97 · 22/07/2025 15:38

MR - 18/02
Currently just over 22 weeks, I called as I sent extra evidence and they told me it could take up to 30 weeks now.

That’s ridiculous, what is the point in that?! 🤯 others know a lot more than I do but sadly I don’t think you can appeal the duration 🤨

@s39 @Abwill
Case managers are responsible for the dla claims from start to finish. They work for the DWP
Decision makers are responsible for making benefit claim decisions and awards they work on behalf of the secretary of state.
So two different people entirely.

The call handlers just say anything to be honest with you most of them refer to DM as CM and CM as DM because they don't know what they are talking about they are sat in a call centre in Yorkshire and are just looking at a screen saying anything to get you off the phone 🤣😂

The call handlers can see if a claim has an " owner" which means it has been assigned to a DM.

Abwill · 22/07/2025 16:40

@s39 thank you! So infact I know no more than I did before I rang as it could either not even be with a DM yet or the call handler just talking rubbish and it could be with the DM 🤣🤦🏽‍♀️ I may just call tomorrow as it looks like a lot of people been getting renewals around 5 days before which would give me today x

LocoCoco13 · 22/07/2025 17:15

Sorry this has nothing to do with waitong for a decision (hopefully get the outcome of MR soon) But sas anyone changed their bank details with dla? Do you just have to give them a ring? Or did you use the current account switch service?

Klee88 · 22/07/2025 18:59

Hi, my sons NC scan date was 16/04/25. He's been awarded HRC he is only 2,suspected autism. I sent health visitor statement, statement from family member and his SPOA acceptance letter.
2 year award. I hope you all get positive news. I know its a long wait but I was so relieved this time it was only a 14 week wait as my eldest child I waited 25 weeks last year.
Fingers crossed for you all waiting for MR's, the waiting time is horrendous and I hope it's sorted soon.

I called and changed my bank details not long ago, i wanted my children’s Dla to go into a separate bank so it didn’t get mixed up with my money. It was done quick, I didn’t expect my daughter next payment to be made to the new bank a week after calling to change it.

It's the date from which your DLA got backdated from, usually the date you called for the forms

Emm876 · 22/07/2025 20:56

MR 16/01
MR was submitted following a renewal in September 24. Current award is MRC LRM
Called yesterday and was told it is with a case manager. Felt like the call handler was reading from a script so I'm a little sceptical but hoping it's not much longer 🤞🏻🤣 Seen a few Feb MRs being awarded on different pages.

Yes, They can just tell you a little bit more on option four that they can on option two. They are often lovely on that one but There is always that chance you’ll get a grumpy one 😊
