Ive recieved a payment of 1825.25 I cant believe it im so happy I think they have given my son hrc him ive just got to wait for letter to confirm

I called up UC yesterday to find out what's happening with baby girls backdated payment. I got a letter saying we owe you 1 month of disabled child element.

Is that the backdate???!!!!

I'm pretty sure when you get dla, and do a change of circumstances, they will backdate your Carers element and the disabled child element.
No one in the phone can answer my questions. Apparently I have read online yesterday, that you only get backdate to the date if awarded, so not date of scan date or the day when you rang for the application.
Also never knew Carers allowance was a complete different department to UC. Calling them today as was told yesterday you could be worse off 22.00 a week being on CA.

You need to write in your journal asking for this to be backdated to the scan date, mine was backdated to then xx

You need to ask them to send it to all decision maker to backdated it until start of dla award, reason for late reporting is you've only just got a decision. Being in carers allowance will not make you worse off. UC do deduct more every month than what you'll receive as UC is monthly CA is weekly. It adds up to the same amount over the year. Ao your no better or worse off being on CA

I called this morning to discuss my sons decision and start a MR, they said they couldn’t give me a statement of reasons over the phone and that I have to wait 10 days for the letter, does anyone know if this is correct?

Thats what he said he said we got extra docs that were scanned 15th which they asked for but said looking another 7 weeka which would put me 25 weeks but I don't understand how april is getting done soon be mays

I did MR without a statement of reasons it was following a renewal. I sent so much evidence on renewal I had nothing when I first claimed as she was still under assessment and was still awarded mrc lrm and they renewed at the same rates.

I know my youngest was awarded last Wednesday and his scan date was 25/4 my oldest son is 4/4 and that been with DM for 2 weeks don't make sense does it x

Its crazy how its not done by dated i.think my sons will.be declined anyway

MR 26 weeks today just called no wait time got through straight away no decision made yet said still in holding que!

NC SD 19/05/25 DD 5, I sent off more evidence including new medications for sleep and toileting as well as an updated speech and language assessment which has a new diagnosis on. Do you think these will help? And how long until I should ring to see if they have the evidence? I sent tracked 48.

Just informed entitled to MRC and been backdated to SD 8/4
We requested form on 12/2 but then ended completing form on laptop.
I enclosed the requested form slip with claim. Should we have been backdated to 12/2?

Its not correct. That's purely a delay tactic on their behalf
