Hi all ✨ Does anyone have any updates on where they are at with COC please. Thank you

Pretty sure they are on middle of December but I did see one on here last week that was March so hoping they are getting through them quicker now that the NC are going faster now X

This is wild. You’re the only Jan new claim I’ve seen still waiting! Is it a complicated one with lots to go through? I’d call every day or so now if I was you!
Im 26/02 and heard nothing.

I feel like I’m the only one left 😅 she’s 3 & suspected autism, I sent letters from nursery, senco, her referral to the neuro pathway, appointments for speech & language & hearing tests ( wasn’t able to complete due to her not being developmentally ready) copy of her HV report which stated she was not in her age range for anything. She doesn’t sleep awake from 2am every night. I really don’t know what’s taking them so long. I rang last week on Monday they said was with decision maker, but then on Friday was told the “it’s not 25 weeks yet” 🙈
im gonna phone tomorrow but don’t think it’s looking hopeful 😩
was nursery & senco who told me to apply & I must of phoned about 6 times in past 2 weeks

Aw that must be really tough, you’ve done well hanging on this long. Surely they’ve decided this week. I’ll keep everything crossed for you 🤞

Hello everyone,

Wanted to asked could you help out to see what rate we got the DLA. I just saw my account ant was transferred £1642.60. Not sure when is scan date, but they got my form 26.03.2025 and payment got today. 🥰
Thank you for your help 😊

Just double checking, but my little boy has just been awarded his DLA- he’s received 1,322.70 and he’s only 2 so doesn’t qualify for the mobility side just yet- SD was the 25/02- I think I worked it out as middle rate- is this correct?

Positive post 🎉
SD - 21st march 2025
Awarded 27/06/2025

They’ve obviously caught up with the backlog of NCs, think they need to start focusing a little bit more on COCs and MRs now. It’s very annoying that some new claims are getting done between 12-16wks, I’m MR and been waiting almost 54 weeks all in all after a total decline

Agree, especially when people waited up to 25 weeks for NC over the Christmas period, I’ve seen people complain about the 15 week wait for NC which I find pretty reasonable it takes 3-4 months for anything you claim now a days not just DLA so it isn’t that bad a wait time. Hopefully MR and COC start being prioritised, waiting almost a year and you could possibly be declined again is a joke and they should be making wait times if anything the least for an MR. Kids change all the time and by the time they get round to COC kids can change again in that time and if anything things can gets worse not better and people are waiting 7-8 months X

I totally agree it’s ridiculous how long some people are waiting for MRs & COCs and after the 25 week wait they moving the goal post now telling people we don’t know how long wait time is!! Iv not seen one person awarded these last few months before 25 weeks!

I know a lot of people have waited longer but recently a lot of NC are getting done in half the time of MRs & COCs

I’m sure there have been 1 or 2 random MRs slip through before 25weeks but literally just one or 2! Don’t really hear many MRs or COCs getting done at all really, the majority are NCs. I just feel like over a year waiting is a joke, I’ve had to borrow almost 2k to make adaptions to my home for my son because my local council refused to do it because we aren’t in receipt of any disability benefits and OT and wheelchair services just take forever. My child will only get worse, he has a life long disease, he’s 3 and had 2 operations in the last 9mth with many more on the horizon! I just feel like I’m at my wits end, I feel like a failure as a parent because I need to borrow money to make these adaptions, I work my arse off to try and put money away for such things but then I feel like I’m neglecting my son! It’s a big horrible vicious circle and this wait is brutal, it feels like we’re not even being noticed by people who should be making things easier! When I called yesterday they couldn’t even tell me what dates they were up to for MRs nevermind how much longer we may have to wait for an outcome one way or another

Tiredndconfused · 01/07/2025 09:17

I had a vile one this morning who said has it been over 25 weeks I said yes 28 tomorow, she then says well your just going to have to wait ringing all the time won't make it go any faster. Honestly had to get off the phone before I called her what she was 🤣🤣

It annoys me how rude some of these call handlers are, there’s no need! Wonder how they would feel if it was one of their children and they had to wait! A little bit of understanding and empathy would go a long way

GirlsMumWorld · 01/07/2025 09:41

Does anyone know what number the DM calls from? I had a missed call this morning from a number that could potentially be DLA but I’m not sure

I would just call and say you’ve had a missed call from someone at DLA, they’ll either put you through or get them to call you back.
whats your SD?
