Does anyone have the address to send further information please? My sons medication has been increased again and we have now been prescribed emergency medication and a new care plan from his epilepsy team :-/ I did ring to inform dla as currently have coc form sd 16/05 so aware long wait but want to make sure they have the proof of what I have said

Hi everyone, My son got accepted for DLA today, i believe we are very fortunate as my SD was 10/04. I have been awarded £1323, am I correct in think that would probably be MRC? I’m abit stuck on where I got from here. I work but also receive universal credit, so can apply for the disabled child element? Is that correct? Am I also able to apply for the Carers element Or is that the same thing? Sorry for all the questions, I’m just abit confused by it all, but so greatful aswell!

Congrats xx you’re so lucky my scan date is 2/4 and still in a Que. they must do all these forms back to front x

Woke up this morning to a payment of £2400 in the bank so we have an award of some sort.
Not sure what she has been awarded but it’s not what she was on last time.

Will that be the back pay too or does it come seperate?

26 weeks 1 day 😳
I had Paedtrician appointment on Monday to & told us after 10 mins she thinks she’s on the spectrum, but she’s extremely clever too she’s been reading since she was 2 (she’s 3)
but she can’t speak like hold a conversation or interact .She spends all her time at nursery lining everything up .She doesn’t sleep awake from 2am most nights, only eats beige food, Will scream every time I leave the room. I sent off a lot of referrals & evidence just don’t see why it’s taking so long. I’m mentally & physically drained with it all & suppose the lack of sleep isn’t helping 😅😅 sorry ranting now lol
bet you get awarded before me it’s looking like it if yours is with DM ☺️
not sure whether to phone but don’t think I can wait till Monday 😅 x

have they said yours is with DM or still in queue? I wonder if they’ve phoned someone like nursery/ doctor and are waiting for a response ?

I would absolutely call this morning and really stress that’s it’s been over 26 weeks on a new claim and you want to know what’s going on.

Definitely phone them up lovely. For your own sanity even if they say its not with the DM (shocking if its not) at least you'll have some sort of update. Its actually a joke how they leave people waiting for ao long with no correspondence from them

They told me it was with DM last week then I recieved a form to send her birth certificate, they signed for it Tuesday as I sent it signed for. Phoned yesterday they said can take couple of weeks to scan that on x

Update, dc was on mrc and lrm, declined at renewal. Waited 27 weeks for MR and awarded LRC. Awaiting letter for tribunal.
The lady on the phone actually said I'm very sorry its only lrc.

So I’ve just received a payment in my bank, works out at LRC only, glad I’ve got an answer but I know my son is entitled to more! I just don’t know if I have the energy to take it to appeal or not! They clearly aren’t going through all of the evidence

I'm happy you have got something, lovey, but I feel you're way entitled to a lot more. High rate or middle at the very least.

Just called got straight through lady was really lovely but mines still in holding queue what ever this means I was hoping it was at least allocated as IV seen someone exactly the same date as mine was awarded and a few others in April I just hope it's not much longer I know it's only been 14 weeks Friday but the wait and not knowing is killing especially if they need to call the school as mine break up for summer next Thursday! I think IV sent enough evidence without the school needing be contacted as he's got other diagnosis going on but ya never know with these DM fingers crossed for everyone still waiting x

Hopefully not longer for us! I'm 14 weeks and 2 days. My neighbour got awarded a few weeks ago at 16 weeks.

I'm 01/04 nc as well and have heard nothing.

I called last week again to see if they received a copy of latest prescription and they said they did and that it's still in a queue for a dm. And it hasn't been looked at yet.
So still some time to go.

Well bit of a weird one my sister's was declined her SD was 1/4 she requested a Mr sent it back had a missed call yesterday from DLA then a message to say they will call back between 9 and 12 they called her at 11 and asked have her bank or any details changed she said no then they said Mr can take upto 6months she said ok then they called her again at 4 and asked the same questions and then said it's with a decision maker and to wait for a letter she thought no more of it but then it baffleld her brain so she called first thing this morning and shes been awarded MRC lrm!! She was shocked and so am i she asked the lady on the phone was this for Mr and they said no new claim so I dint know what the hell is going on !! I am pleased shes got the outcome she wanted but still this has me wondering anyone else ever experienced this before because IV never heard of it x

Just called decision made 9/7 its a decline for son 😥 asked for statement of reasons. Honestly don't know if I've got the fight in me for an mr as also fighting at moment for other son EHCP and school not agreeing.
Suspected ASD
Sleep diary sent
Paediatric awaiting blood work and further investigation in pains in legs
Plus much more other stuff

Well I rang option 4- lady wasn’t all that polite if I’m honest told me 25-30 weeks for new claim to then be told it’s in the Que. and they are working on January still? Anyway I requested a text with updates basically and then she told me it was with a DM? So I generally don’t have a bloody clue

Claim is in Que- asked her why people who have later scan dates than me and she’s couldn’t answer and said they are still working on January- I asked for a text to be sent when decision is made to be then told it’s actually with a DM

I’m on week 26 NC so they still are doing January
it’s a shocking system they’ve got should be done in order
