So quite early in your claim? I’ll send it recorded thanks, did you send it in evenelope they provided? Did you sign anything or just send the birth certificate? Sorry for all questions lol any news for you? X

They sent it in April and then called to say they’d registered the claim. I’d assume they just need it to give you your decision at this point they just use it to verify the child!
I sent it in the envelope provided BUT I sent other stuff in the same envelope that was never scanned on and they said they’d lost it, so I’d definitely send signed for. If you send signed for they send the birth certificate back signed for too (they told me that after I’d sent ours!)

Where in the uk are you? I had a letter saying 15 weeks (for MR). Im In northern ireland and praying for my own sanity it is 15 weeks. Im already certain they're going to make me take them to tribunal

I’m England
did they decline you? It’s getting a joke now seen someone been awarded 6 weeks after scan date don’t know what they doing. So now I’ve gotta wait even longer till the scan this on aswell. She sees paediatrician on Monday so might have more evidence aswell

Meglee93 · 05/07/2025 17:06

Anyone know of any MR awarded before 25 weeks? Getting so impatient xxx

She was given middle rate care, no mobility. She cant even walk so im absolutely baffled that they declined mobility. We are appealing both care and mobility aspects

Never see any no. I'm 25 weeks on Tuesday but see them go much further than that so I ain't holding my breath for next week 😔

Derpconfuse · 05/07/2025 18:57

Have people who received a text confirmation of the form being received also received a letter?

I had a text on 24th June confirming form received but no letter.

mamamace · 05/07/2025 20:57

Yes I did but was a fair few weeks after the text! And also same time had a letter to ask for birth certificate. This is NC SD 28.5 so I have ages to go

I got no text but it took 8 weeks for the letter to arrive saying they had my claim. I did phone after 3 weeks to check it had arrived though!

Week 27 next week for our MR and heard nothing yet. I phoned when it reached 25 weeks and was told need to wait as there is a big backlog. Surely they should write to communicate this delay to us though?

You would think so but no instead they tell you to stop calling and wait for a decision letter to arrive!

It's awful that you wait 6 months for MR decision and they can't even tell you the decision over the phone and you have to wait another 10 days for a letter.

I swear its all delay tactics on their behalf

Hi, i found out on Thursday that my son was awarded HRM through an MR we submitted in December following his renewal decision. He was reawarded HRC through his renewal so we did the MR for mobility element. I'm just trying to figure out when it will be backdated to, some are saying just to his renewal date and some are saying it may be backdated to renewal scan date or decision date. Does anyone know? It doesn't really matter I'm just pleased he was awarded and has it until 2031. Thanks and I hope others get good news soon! Xx

Emily1234567 · 06/07/2025 08:31

Hi, tomorrow I'll be on 29 weeks for COC, SD 16/12. I've seen people be awarded COC with a SD after me now. I absolutely hate calling so have been putting it off. Does anyone know how the back pay is done if awarded? Will it be when I usually get the DLA payment or just when the DM awards it? Just thinking there is likely no change in award as I've not heard yet? From memory the letters take ages to be received! Think I'll have to bite the bullet and call tomorrow 😞 thanks

That's great news. I think it will be backdated to your renewal date before you submitted the MR but I'm not 100% sure on this. I am currently 25 weeks on a MR for the same reasons as you can I ask what evidence you sent in to get your HRM thank you

Ah okay thanks. Probably bad news then as I would have thought I'd of heard by now if it was good news. I'll call tomorrow and see what's what.
