I send messages to both I just repeat the message but I make sure I do both, I can't believe how long they take! And that there's no time frame surely they've got to have a time frame can't just leave us waiting? X

I know there was a woman on here who had a decision in about a week

Yes!! Sorry I was out my DD was awarded yesterday MRC I'm so happy I could cry!! How long does back pay normally take. Xxx

MrsBoo8888 · 03/07/2025 11:58

I called. Decline again yesterday 19/3 even after looking at the extra evidence (jades acceptance letter) proof of his reduced timetable at school ect. Onto a mr with him.
26/3 claim not with a dm yet but I'm not hopeful. He just has his one plan from his nursery stating he is on reduced time too and all his delays. Currently his jades refurel form is with them to fill out.

Definitely claim carers element if you are on carers allowance, at the moment your carers allowance comes off as a income but once you add carers element it will make it £1 for £1 nearly so your not £300 plus down each month. Hope that makes sense

What do u say in the message ?

I just message and ask for updates i messaged on Monday "is there any updates please as I made my change of circumstances 3 weeks ago and it has been with a decision maker since 19th june" i got a reply back saying they can send a message to the dm and chase it up but I didn't hear anything back messaged this morning saying "is there any updates please as its now been with a decision maker for 2 weeks and ive still not heard anything" but not had a reply yet? My replies have also started to come from a different service centre then usual aswell which i thought was abit weird, I usually get replies from blackpool service centre (not from that area either) but the last week my replies have been coming from Belfast service centre ( also not from that area)? X

They send the letters separately for each element. You should get the carers letter if not today then in a few days

The back pay will come separately, for both my children once I got the letter telling me the amount the backpack was in my account within 3 days

ProudZebra · 03/07/2025 13:05

@s39 i meant wasn’t with anyone when I rang on Monday! The wait is getting silly now

Sunflower1650 · 03/07/2025 13:32

I’m getting so nervous. I rang Monday, it was with a decision maker but I was waiting for them to scan on some extra evidence I’d sent so the call handler put a note on the claim to say the decision maker needs to wait for the latest paediatrician report. Rang yesterday, still with a decision maker, and the report had been scanned in. I want to ring again today but too nervous. I’m wondering if the note to the decision maker got taken off or not? If I haven’t heard anything by Monday I’ll ring again and ask if they can send a note to the DM or something telling them that all the evidence is now there.

Duchess89 · 03/07/2025 14:01

I called an hour ago and my little boy has been awarded MRC and LRM! So pleased that his needs have been recognised.

Called for forms: 14th Feb
Scan date: 20th March

I think they’re absolutely smashing through the new claims now

Db84 · 03/07/2025 14:18
