26 weeks today, waiting for a MR. Original SD 12/07/2024.

Called last week Friday and they said it's with a DM.

Any MR acceptance today? Or on socials?

Also would be nice to know if anyone has experienced a decline with MR, what did you do after?

I'm holding very little hope and feel I would need to go down the appeal route.

I have woken to £1949. I printed the forms and they were dated 09/03. Im trying to work out the rate and I think it’s HRC and LMR? I will call later to see if I can find out.

Congratulations. If you printed out the forms your scan date would be the date they backdate it to. I’ve worked out HRC and LRM too 🙌

Bless you, I'm in the same boat. Declined 28th because no medical evidence 🙈 his jades pathway acce letter got put with my other sons claim so they are resending it back to the DM to look at again. They didn't even bother contacting his school. His on a reduced timetable due to over stimulation. He climbs the tall dangerous fences to get out of school when his overstimulated. They just didn't bother even looking at what I wrote 😟

Sent my daughter forms on the 17th March woke up this morning to back pay of 1,845 I’m guessing middle rate care not quite sure on rates until I receive the letter but I’m so happy for my daughter all in total took 15 weeks

Awarded middle rate care yesterday so exactly 15 weeks. Suspected asd/pda waiting for diagnosis.
So happy for my little boy.

Hopefully it gets sorted for you. The other thing that went against my son is that he goes to mainstream school and the SENCO said that all the children in the school benefit from reasonable adjustments - which is true, they have visual timetables, fidgets and headphones are allowed in class - but the DM decieded that that meant my son didnt need any additional help - if he was in a normal mainstream school he would need that additional help - its just we are lucky that our school does it across the board!! It doesnt make any sense to me that that should go against him too.

That's ridiculous!!!! Alot of sen kids go to mainstream schools! Do they know how long the waiting lists are for special needs schools?!! A friend of mine has a child non verbal. Still in full time nappues at 8 years old yet he is in mainstream because the waiting list takes years here!
They need new DM because these lot arnt doing their jobs

I was so upset last night but im better now. Got my head in the game ready to sort it out when i get the letter. I really hope they get yours sorted for you - hopefully someone sensible will pick it up and ring the school for you x

We had similar reasons for decline at renewal. They were attends mainstream and no ehcp. We dont need an ehcp the school are fantastic at making the adjustments needed.

This is it - the kids are being penalised because we managed to find a school that meets some of their needs without us kicking up a fuss!! Hope you got your renewal sorted in the end.

Its so frustrating as the dms don't see the behind the scenes. We have had 3 meetings , 2 phone calls and several emails back and forth with 3 different members of staff at school so far this week but it goes unnoticed.

Nothing but I am going to call today, although I’m sure just to be told there’s no news!

You've got this! Keep your head in the game and get every scrap of evidence sent off for the MR. Get his doctor to write a statement about all you've been to see him about. The school to write about any additional needs they have in place for him. Family members to write statements. Do a diary of his daily needs for a week. Plus anything you get along the way waiting for his Mr (can take 30 weeks)

Apparently both my twins claims are with a decision maker. I have been told that before though and then it turned out they weren’t so I’m not holding my breath 😂

Once they have sent claim to a dm how long have yous waited until you've heard anything?
Mine went to a dm on 19th June 2 weeks today and still nothing? Messaged a few times but kept getting told to just wait basically?

What part u message payments or work coach x

I send messages to both I just repeat the message but I make sure I do both, I can't believe how long they take! And that there's no time frame surely they've got to have a time frame can't just leave us waiting? X
