When I spoke to them today, they asked me all the security questions and then asked for my bank details sort code and account number that the dla is going to be paid into? Don’t think they have asked that previously but probably reading to much into it, anyone else been asked this?

They ask me every time I ring for extra security x

My renewal is due 09/06 I received new forms pack in January so 6 months before end date so I'd assume you should've received them by now, a friend of mine is end date August and received her new forms yesterday? I'd ring up and enquire you wouldn't want to leave it to late and then have to start from the beginning all over!
Hope thus helps!

My end dates August I haven't had renewal forms I don't know if it's because I put a mr in x

Thank you, I’m the same and thinking he’s not been awarded, I don’t have a great deal of evidence as waiting lists are so long for diagnosis, I rang today and said it had been allocated but could take up to 25 weeks! Congratulations on your award x

My son got mrc with just a detailed daily log and a statement from the school senco so there still a chance x

I've not had a decision made, it's just the letter confirming theyve recieved my claim says expect to hear from us within 6 weeks but I know that can't be right

Yeah when I applied for my daughter it said 18 weeks I’ll see what it says when I get my sons letter in a few weeks

Good luck! Surely you should have something by now with your renewal date being next Sunday! When I phoned about my renewal they said I would hear the week before it's due but on here "most" have been 3 weeks prior! My renewal is due 09/06 so still got just over a month!

Someone else with the same renewal date as mine got there letter yesterday, someone on Facebook got there decision on the 15th, I think the late forms is affecting it.

StanleyParents · 25/04/2025 08:15

It's either that or it's just taking longer because it's more complex, guess I'll find out in an hour

Is option 4 any different xx

Justanothermum31 · 25/04/2025 09:04

@Sarahlou15 call the normal MR line as find they answer quicker and because it’s been 25 weeks now they will just pass you over to someone who will apologise and probably give you an indication as to what dates they are up too, mine was 23/10 and done yesterday.

Justanothermum31 · 25/04/2025 09:06

@Sarahlou15 i think the MR line opens at 10 and not 9 as when I was trying before 10 it kept hanging up and then went through at 10 on the dot

StanleyParents · 25/04/2025 09:09

When people say option 4 what do they mean?

Wow really!! And was there a time scale to return the forms back? I don't think I remember a certain cut off date on mine? I received my forms start of January and sent them back mid feb? Scan dates 28/02, I assumed they just went by what renewal dates need looking at first! Hopefully good news when your phoning them!

Sarahlou15 · 25/04/2025 09:36

My MR is 25 weeks today just rang
and been told to ring back next week as they have til 5oclock today to make a decision
I said well it’s not going to be today is it
as it isn't even with a DM is it
she read me the script and I said could you ask DLA to update the script as it says it can take UPTO 25 weeks for a decision to be made not over 25 weeks
and to have a lovely day

StanleyParents · 25/04/2025 09:38

So decision made on the 22nd April.

Upgraded MRC to HRC
but kept LRM

Asked for the reasons for it and not a single mention of severe mental impairment rules whatsoever, the DM ONLY focused on his physical ability to walk, not anything that we mentioned with regards to the SMI rules, it has been totally ignored.

Have already put in an MR over the phone as the agent was able to tell me the reasons then and there. awarded until 2029 for the HRC as the DM acknowledged he is not likely to get any better with his condition.

I knew to expect disappointment! But its so frustrating that we asked specifically for something to be looked at and it doesnt even look like its been considered.

Ah you finally heard! Congratulations on Hrc! I'm sorry about Lrm definitely fight it if you think your little one deserves it! I don't understand why they don't look at all the evidence, you've sent it to them for them to look at but they just disregard it! Congratulations again!!

Thank you, happy for the HRC and the 4 year award.

The agent read out the reasons and it was like:

"He is able to physically walk without any aids"

But no mention of the SMI rules which we specifically asked to be considered for.

No better understanding of what SMI rules he didn't meet. I genuinely feel we will have to take this to a tribunal and that an MR is likely going to do nothing.

Now to wait for daughter's NC which was scanned 27/03
