The wait time for MRs and COC is ridiculous people are waiting 25 week plus in some cases

Katieeekooo · 22/04/2025 22:40

NC
Sd 12th December 24
I rang them when it hit 17 weeks as the initial letter I received stated I will hear back within 15 to be told that it's now 25 weeks.

But then see people with dates scanned on after this date get decisions so could be any day now I guess

Good luck to anyone still waiting 🤞

I think it’s vary hit and miss tbh as I was seeing claims from December getting decisions for weeks while I was waiting from October I’m doing another nc tomorrow so hopefully they are getting quicker

3-5 working days, obviously just had 2 bank holidays, i would assume you’d have the money in your bank between Thursday & Monday next week, congratulations on award❤️

There also only paying 487 for the disabled child element so google isn’t correct

I can't help with the rent part, but for the disabled child element that is correct, the £495 that you likely saw is the new rate which came into effect beginning of April, however you would only get it if your whole month came after it came into effect if that makes sense

Yeah I had a look at last years rate after posting that’s a substantial raise for next month

Hi. I sent DS’s application in the post on 6th March. Still haven’t heard about a scan date. Can I ask how long it took for you between posting the form and it being scanned in? X

I've heard some issues with using the Freepost address

I sent mine tracked using another address so I saw when it was delivered, it's taken almost 4 weeks to get acknowledgment however

My MR is 25 weeks this Friday
I rang yesterday he told me to ring Friday but isn’t with anyone anyways
but have seen people write on here they ring on the day and get told longer

so I am expecting it to be 26/27 weeks

On a positive note maybe they are taking abit longer to have a good look through it since you did the smi statement? Surely it’s got to be this week 🤞

i really hope so, like i explained on the phone, its moreso i know i posted the forms back late, although ive been reassured by everyone until i know its with a DM or a decision has been made im going to feel this intense guilt.

I think it will be fine, maybe just that the decision is going to be made closer to the renewal date?
