What’s everyone using for evidence for DLA? As I don’t want to carry around the letters all time. LO is too young for the card as under 5 for the ones I found

I’ve been using my IC account showing the disabled child element and showing ID haven’t been turned away with that yet.

So sorry to hear that. The next step would be tribunal. When you have received your MR decision letter, you can submit a tribunal application online. This stage is taking roughly a year for a court case, unless DWP offer an amended decision while you are waiting for the court date.

I think that is just scripted and what they’re told to say. I’m on hold now waiting for them to answer. A lot of people are getting decisions from week of 11/12. I think it’s estimated around 17-18 weeks currently. I’ll let you know what they say

They answered as soon as I posted. They said can take between 20-25 weeks. Mine is sitting at the top of the holding queue so it’ll be picked up by a decision maker very soon. Mine was a NC and the SD was 18/12

Katiie13x · 15/04/2025 15:18

Hi everyone! New here, first time claiming, ordered forms 06/01 SD 13/02 applying for my little boy who is moderate/severely deaf in both ears, diagnosed 2 years ago and never even thought to apply for dla until someone suggested, so applied and guess we will wait and see. His deaf teacher told me it's very hit and miss with hearing loss, she's seen people be awarded with mild hearing loss and others denied with severe. Sent in his personal plan from school from his teacher of the deaf, his latest 2 audiograms showing his degree of deafness, salt appointments and a statement from his teacher of the deaf. Hoping to hear by the end of June. Good luck everyone.
