Please feel free to add your scan date and whether it's a new claim/mandatory reconsideration/change of circumstances or renewal.
New claims (NC) - people are being told the wait time has increased to 25 weeks! I would say most are done before this though around the 20 week mark?
Mandatory reconsideration (MC) and Change of circumstances (COC) is around 20-25 weeks.
Renewals tend to be between 15-20 weeks.
If you disagree with the outcome of an MR you can appeal and go to court (tribunal)
Scan date is the date DLA scan your application forms on to their system, if you downloaded your application forms then this will be from when your award will be backdated from. If you called up for forms then the date on those is the date yours will be backdated from.
If successful and claiming universal credit (UC) please update them as this will entitle you to disabled child element adding extra to your award.

SD NC- 30th December. Totally shocked as wasn’t expecting it for a good few weeks yet but just received a back payment into my account for my nearly 3 year old son. Looks like HRC. Hope you all aren’t waiting too much longer.

Amirah007 · 11/04/2025 01:09

@PositivityRipples hi, sorry I've been watching this thread for a while. I see you work at hrmc? Do you have any idea if the December applicants are getting awarded? My scan date is the 13/12, NC.

I have twins boys both non-verbal autisc and GDD. Its been 17 weeks exactly today.
Every time I call i get the 25 week wait speech and that's all.
Thank you.

Great news 👏

I’m still confused as to how the cases get allocated. I get if they need further information they move forward whilst they wait. But how does others 3 weeks behind you get awarded before my boys not even been allocated a DM?

congrats to everyone that’s been awarded!

Amirah007 · 11/04/2025 07:30

@LoudAquaViper I agree. Every time I call and ask if it is with the DM they don't say anything. What is your scan date?

Mumof1xox · 11/04/2025 07:31

@Amirah007 is yours a new claim ?

Mumof1xox · 11/04/2025 07:32

@LoudAquaViper I would’ve thought waiting longer is good news because if they was going to decline they would’ve done it by now , my scan date is 3/12 and I’m still waiting to hear back.

SD for me is 18/12 so I know I’ve still got a couple weeks yet. But it’s not even with a DM yet, it’s still unallocated whereas others end of December/beginning of January are getting decisions. It just baffles me how it’s allocated and why people behind are getting looked at before

Amirah007 · 11/04/2025 07:36

@LoudAquaViper yeh, mine is a new claim. I wouldn't mind waiting, but then I see other posts getting awarded before mine and I'm like 🤔 thanks for the advice. Hope and praying we get some good news in a week x.

I agree. But my boy isn’t even with a DM yet. It’s still unallocated so no one is even looking at his case yet whereas others from end of December/beginning of January are having decisions made. It’s mind boggling.

Yeah mines a new claim too. I called yesterday and got told the same thing”it’s taking 25 weeks to get to a DM, expect it to be with them by middle of June”! I mean come on, I know you wanna cover your backs but give me a real timeframe and give me insight as to why people behind me are being looked at first and I’ll back off a bit. It’s the not knowing that makes it so much worse and disheartening.

Amirah007 · 11/04/2025 07:39

@Mumof1xox yeh new claim.

Mumof1xox · 11/04/2025 07:42

@LoudAquaViper try calling back on option 4 they gave bare insights, I been practically calling everyday.

Mumof1xox · 11/04/2025 07:43

@Amirah007 hopefully you will hear soon , what is your scan date ?

Called them on option 4 yesterday and they said no updates on my account so it’s not with a DM yet, should be allocated to one by middle of June. That’s all I get told.

Amirah007 · 11/04/2025 07:45

@Mumof1xox my scan date is the 13th of December

Mumof1xox · 11/04/2025 07:47

@LoudAquaViper it will definitely get allocated before June , they just have to say that but for most new claims they will hear back by the 18th week hun , I only got allocated to a dm last week x

Mumof1xox · 11/04/2025 07:49

@Amirah007 you should hear back by the 18th week hopefully but if for any reason your case needs to be looked into abit more the latest you will hear back is by the 20th week.

It really is something else, isn’t it! It’s the core of support needed to be able to help our little ones that’s what makes the wait worse

Mumof1xox · 11/04/2025 07:53

@LoudAquaViper it’s really draining for us parents because we don’t wanna let our little ones down. 😔 that’s why I’ve been phoning everyday at this rate.

100%. Let’s just hope and pray we all get what our little ones need and deserve!
