DLA WAITING TIME THREAD 67

Please feel free to add your scan date and whether it's a new claim/mandatory reconsideration/change of circumstances or renewal.
New claims (NC) - people are being told the wait time has increased to 25 weeks! I would say most are done before this though around the 20 week mark?
Mandatory reconsideration (MC) and Change of circumstances (COC) is around 20-25 weeks.
Renewals tend to be between 15-20 weeks.
If you disagree with the outcome of an MR you can appeal and go to court (tribunal)
Scan date is the date DLA scan your application forms on to their system, if you downloaded your application forms then this will be from when your award will be backdated from. If you called up for forms then the date on those is the date yours will be backdated from.
If successful and claiming universal credit (UC) please update them as this will entitle you to disabled child element adding extra to your award.

Oh wow that’s great so 15 weeks?
sorry to ask but did your child have a diagnosis? I’m wondering if it’s quicker with one.

NC SD 17/12. Money in bank today. Very shocked and happy. I thought I might have another couple of weeks wait minimum!

Good luck to everyone waiting x

scan date 11.02 I have received 2 letters one at 4 weeks and one yesterday to say taking 15 weeks. It’s looking like they’ve really flown through November and someone’s just been awarded after waiting 16 weeks so I’m feeling hopeful for everyone here 🤞🏽

TippieTappyTara · 08/04/2025 12:20

Sarahlou15 · 08/04/2025 12:07

I would ring them again tomorrow and say it’s 24 weeks and 6 days today lol
is it with anyone

Yeah it's been with the dm/cm for last 4 weeks

Mumof1xox · 08/04/2025 12:58

Hi nc how long does it take with the decision maker ?

Mumof1xox · 08/04/2025 12:59

Hi what proof did you send in ? @legalseagull

legalseagull · 08/04/2025 13:03

legalseagull · 08/04/2025 10:26

NC Scan date 02.12 - Money just appeared in bank account today!

DD 7 yrs. AuDHD. I can't exactly work out what rates she's been awarded but it's roughly a back payment of around £100 a week. So possibly MRC and LRM, or maybe HRC??

I just called them. It's MRC and LRM until 2029. I'm so relieved.

Mumof1xox · 08/04/2025 13:05

Has anyone got accepted for a adhd diagnosis? As my only proof I sent in was my daughter’s diagnosis and a letter from her teacher and also a personal statement? I’m abit worried as I feel like it might not be enough evidence as I don’t think I filled out her form properly.

Was this a new claim form?

CherryFox25 · 08/04/2025 14:36

18 week and 2 days - rang up just, been told my girl has been awarded LRM & MRC. What do I put on my journal? X

Judgejudysno1fan · 08/04/2025 14:46

What is scan date? Is that the day they text you to say that they have your form or the day they stamp and date the form before sending it to you?

That was quick, I'm almost 8 weeks in, my optimistic husband ia saying a couple more weeks! We crammed so much evidence in hoping that will help, but I suppose it doesn't matter if they have a huge backlog of other forms/investigations to go through. Our form is still the back of an enormous pile.

Usually when he says something it comes true. I'd be surprised if this works out Quicker then 20-25 weeks.

When you first get your letter saying they have received your claim it was say … we received it on such date that is your scan date

That'd be great, rather than 25 weeks

New claims seem to be looking about 18 weeks but some have been awarded abit earlier, it’s MR and COC that has been taking 25 weeks

I send some evidence with the claim, and when I rang yesterday they said it was still in a queue and that there’s still another 8 weeks to wait and it won’t be looked at before then. Then I rang earlier and the woman on the phone told me when it she’d been awarded from, what rates she’d been awarded and how much would be paid into my bank account. I was expecting her claim to take the full 25 weeks.
Fingers crossed your not waiting too long 🤞
