Please feel free to add your scan date and whether it's a new claim/mandatory reconsideration/change of circumstances or renewal.
New claims (NC) - people are being told the wait time has increased to 25 weeks! I would say most are done before this though around the 20 week mark?
Mandatory reconsideration (MC) and Change of circumstances (COC) is around 20-25 weeks.
Renewals tend to be between 15-20 weeks.
If you disagree with the outcome of an MR you can appeal and go to court (tribunal)
Scan date is the date DLA scan your application forms on to their system, if you downloaded your application forms then this will be from when your award will be backdated from. If you called up for forms then the date on those is the date yours will be backdated from.
If successful and claiming universal credit (UC) please update them as this will entitle you to disabled child element adding extra to your award.

Hi can someone help me due to do my child's renewal forms son can you tell me so you send all the evidence you sent with the 1st claim from and new evidence or just new evidence I don't know if they keep the evidence on file from the first claim

Would I have the same problem if it got scanned the day after it was meant to be back

There's one on fb today that says new claim received in March this year and they've been awarded! 🤯 surely that can't be true for a new claim

I would assume it's any new evidence that was not sent with the initial claim, maybe worth contacting the helpline for clarification

Hi, I’ve just done my sons renewal forms, ive sent all evidence new and old that is still relevant to how he is now, and because the answer boxes are small ive printed out the answers and attached it to each page, i don’t know how they expect us to right all there needs and information in that little space

Also i spoke to someone from Dla today that said the decision will be made in line with when the claim is supposed to end, so we would get the last of the old award until renewal date and the decision would be made ready for the next payment if successful

Is there any October MR still waiting or been awarded

So I ended up leaving a journal message re payment on UC... Then got a letter with the back payment date and how much but they've only backdated the carers element? Is this correct? My little boy has been awarded High Rate Care so am I right in thinking the disabled child element will need to be backdated aswell? If so, how do I phrase this to them politely 😅. am I just best off ringing someone tomorrow and speaking direct? Thank you!

to anyone who received a text; how long until payment enters account roughly. I don’t have the luxury of seeing pending payments.

Ive been told twice it’s in a holding queue

3 days before u was also told within next 2 weeks as it got pushed to dm because they made a huge error

They said somewhat the same to me also, when is your renewal due and when did you send forms in?

Nc 6.12 but not heard anything yet, iv not rang once. They will make there decision when they get round to it I suppose. The wait is driving me nutz tho 🤪

Mine is NC SD 11 Dec. It’s driving me insane as well. I’ve only rang up to make sure they have received extra evidence. I’ve recently sent more on the 25th march and I’m dying to use it as an excuse to call to see if they have received that lot but trying to wait as long as possible so I can hopefully have more of an update when I do call otherwise I don’t have an excuse nearer to the time that it could be my turn 🤣. NC S/D - 22/11 anyone else around this time still waiting! I’ve called a few times but just keep getting told it’s with the case manager. Does this mean it’s still got to go to a decision maker yet?

My sons renewal isn’t due until 12/7 and they was scanned 4/3. I was calling mostly yesterday because I’ve been waiting weeks for my daughters coc forms to come but thought I would ask the renewal process at the same time

Renewal due on the 4th May, scanned on the 26th March. So much stress and anxiety but I've been reassured it will be done before it expires.

Have sent so much additional information and evidence also, going to call on Monday to make sure they've got everything, then a few weeks of trying to push this to the back of my mind!

Nc Scan date 26th November, decision made on Friday, HRC, LRM, received payment today £3021 backdated to October.
