DLA WAITING TIME THREAD 67

Please feel free to add your scan date and whether it's a new claim/mandatory reconsideration/change of circumstances or renewal.
New claims (NC) - people are being told the wait time has increased to 25 weeks! I would say most are done before this though around the 20 week mark?
Mandatory reconsideration (MC) and Change of circumstances (COC) is around 20-25 weeks.
Renewals tend to be between 15-20 weeks.
If you disagree with the outcome of an MR you can appeal and go to court (tribunal)
Scan date is the date DLA scan your application forms on to their system, if you downloaded your application forms then this will be from when your award will be backdated from. If you called up for forms then the date on those is the date yours will be backdated from.
If successful and claiming universal credit (UC) please update them as this will entitle you to disabled child element adding extra to your award.

It’s looking slow for any decisions at the minute 😳😳

Yes I’m 01/11 for MR
so should here by 25th April but it’s Easter before that so be extra week
but I also don’t think they will change mine

so I don’t know what I’m really waiting for lol
only driving myself insane

I'm sick of listening to the same thing but these last few weeks are stressing me out especially as did claim ends in August so I've got to do all the renewal stuff straight away if he's turned down x

Gem1402 · 31/03/2025 11:02

I let universal credit know on the 19th of March and they dealt with it quite quickly as I received the back pay today but I have seen people wait longer X

Long time follower

Renewal was due to end on the 19/4
Scan date was 16/01
Decision made 29/03 for HRC and LRM so award stayed the same 🙂
My son is 7 has global delay and ADHD so seems fair, good luck everyone ⭐️

Madmummy2016 · 31/03/2025 12:44

I phoned this morning coc 31/10 first lady said it's gone over the 20 week time scale, then transferred me to someone else, this lady then said its taking 25 weeks so it could be done any time now, advised me not to send renewal thats due in August as coc will be done before the forms are due back, but obviously if its not accepted, ill then need to send them. Ahhh it's taking forever!

Daryl54 · 31/03/2025 12:45

@TheSnappyTurtle I got a decision went from high care to low care rate put in mandatory request long battle ahead now haven’t stopped crying since I rang xx

A decision still hasn't been made🫣 I spoke to a lovely lady tho who chased up evidence that I sent in almost 3 weeks ago, she called me back to let me know that the evidence is now with my son's claim. She says for me to ring up around the 15th as they are closed for food Friday and the bank holiday with it being Easter. My son's claim is due to end on Easter day. She says a decision should definitely be made that week. I'm getting so anxious as the date gets closer x

I would definitely do a MR. My son is the same he masks at school, he has just gotten his autism diagnosis on the 4th of March and now I feel like the school are listening to me now. I find out next week if he will also be diagnosed with ADHD as they were still waiting on further evidence from school. I would definitely do a MR like, I wonder if they even read the full forms that we send in x

Daryl54 · 31/03/2025 14:08

@StanleyParents 16th of December x
@Mamto3boysX I’m gonna do an mr definitely can’t see why it’s dropped so much he’s gone worse too defo school let me down xx
