Please feel free to add your scan date and whether it's a new claim/mandatory reconsideration/change of circumstances or renewal.
New claims (NC) - people are being told the wait time has increased to 25 weeks! I would say most are done before this though around the 20 week mark?
Mandatory reconsideration (MC) and Change of circumstances (COC) is around 20-25 weeks.
Renewals tend to be between 15-20 weeks.
If you disagree with the outcome of an MR you can appeal and go to court (tribunal)
Scan date is the date DLA scan your application forms on to their system, if you downloaded your application forms then this will be from when your award will be backdated from. If you called up for forms then the date on those is the date yours will be backdated from.
If successful and claiming universal credit (UC) please update them as this will entitle you to disabled child element adding extra to your award.

i was told this today!! a lovely woman said your claim is with a case manager and i said last week i was told it was with a DM she said yes it the same thing some people say decision maker and some say case manager.

i think a new thread is gonna be needed soon 🤦🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️😂

i’m starting to think the same thing. they they have declined and there fobbing me off until i receive the letter lol x

I just rang & was told deffinatly been allocated to a DM couldn't tell me when (rang last Tues was still in que) but said still can take up to 25weeks
I asked if anything has been added on notes for further evidence needed etc nothing so far
I'm hoping i see a payment in bank anyday now!🤞🏼

@Glitzxx Are you okay? I keep reading numerous negative comments from you and that you're calling multiple times a day, and when others are commenting they've been awarded you are replying saying lucky you I'm still waiting I'm getting pissed off ect ect..
I am genuinely asking if you're okay? I know the wait is diabolical as we all do and I'm sorry you are having a hard time and are getting frustrated I'm sure it won't be much longer for you to wait now.
Also I've seen you say you child needs reins ect and you're waiting for dla award or payment to get some.. I'm not sure if you're aware they sell the XL reins on amazon and at smyths for around £5 - £8 I'm sure home bargains and bnm sell them too I dont know if you're in a position to get some but thought it may help..

I don’t see why it’s needed two full days with DM, read it… Decide… Some claims seem to be done so quick after this. It’s really hard to work out how it all works when it doesn’t seem to be done in order of dates and some seem to be done much quicker than others once with DM. I assume they have decided and it’s declined which is why I’m not getting an answer!
The only bit of hope I’m holding onto is they haven’t called me to discuss anything and from what I’ve sent I felt they probably would need to discuss as it’s quite confusing all the evidence and what had changed over the last year for her health… And I sent new evidence a few weeks ago with an update.

Thats what im leaning towards now thats its just a decline and they dont wanna say over the phone i mean i could be wrong but from wednesday till now and being told ill get a decision today and then being told they havnt made one is a kick in the teeth x

@Glitzxx Yeah seems the call handlers are just giving out any false info at this point to try and be nice and get people off the phone but it isn't helpful and I can see it causing numerous people frustration.. I genuinely just thought I'd comment and ask cause I thought " this woman's losing her mind" sorry it's not funny but you get what I mean.. Your frustration is coming across on the thread 🤍 keep your head up and stay positive.. A claim being with a DM for a week does not mean it's a decline 💫

@Glitzxx If the call puts your mind at ease then do it but if you feel like it makes matters worse (the info is not 100% accurate) then distract yourself with something to take your mind of it, Also i do think IF it was a decline they would be obliged to tell you at the very least a decision has been made no?
What will be will be & stressing wont change the outcome, Expect the worse hope for the best 💖

Hi, how did you get your local mp involved, what did u say to them etc?

I think I spoke to the same guy. He kept talking about it snowing. He said I should hear by the end of the week. Felt the end was near... but this was on the 10/02 so I take everything with a pinch of salt now. Lol

‘the end was near’. , I thought he was a doomsday prophet at first!
