Please feel free to add your scan date and whether it's a new claim/mandatory reconsideration/change of circumstances or renewal.
New claims (NC) - people are being told the wait time has increased to 25 weeks! I would say most are done before this though around the 20 week mark?
Mandatory reconsideration (MC) and Change of circumstances (COC) is around 20-25 weeks.
Renewals tend to be between 15-20 weeks.
If you disagree with the outcome of an MR you can appeal and go to court (tribunal)
Scan date is the date DLA scan your application forms on to their system, if you downloaded your application forms then this will be from when your award will be backdated from. If you called up for forms then the date on those is the date yours will be backdated from.
If successful and claiming universal credit (UC) please update them as this will entitle you to disabled child element adding extra to your award.

@Abbie12 thats the trouble with the schools, they can throw a spanner in yet the child can be completely different at home x
I fully expect to go to tribunal to be honest, no one knows my child better than me
Not only that at tribunal I'll offer them pictures for proof x

I’ll be 18 weeks in 2 days and my god I thought I was getting impatient weeks ago. This is just silly, it’s all I can think about. My stress levels are through the roof 😂

That’s exactly the same as me I’ve got videos after videos of it that I had for doctors and hospital and they said it’s not normal and school said it is😂🤦🏻‍♀️

On the phone to them now, said they are super busy! See how long I'm on hold for!

Called again today, and still nothing 😪 i just asked if there was a decision and that he didn't need to do the whole 25 weeks speech as i have heard it around 100 times, he laughed I laughed 😂 then i said bye and wanted to scream 😫😭😂

Been allocated to someone, I forgot to ask when that happened but he said it is taking up to 25 weeks for decisions, but since I last called it's been allocated

Update decision made 14/1/25 after 26 weeks for MR decline again so tribunal it is good luck everyone

Scan date 6/9 for a new claim. Rang today told it will likely be the 28/2 before we find out. Nervous we won’t get it.

Oh my God I'm so sorry, that's just ridiculous! Really hope they overturn this before you have to go to court. I'm not holding out much hope for mine, looks lule there's a big group heading that way 😪

They won’t over turn it I’ve sent everything of for tribunal now and they have 11th of feb to reply

I've seen posts somewhere that said they changed the decision before the tribunal date 🤞🤞🤞 really hope they don't make you go through that, the wait is awful enough. Just wish they would speak to us before they decline, we can give a real perspective. Its so bloody frustrating 😤 x

Yes this! I keep waking up hoping to see a notification from my bank and when I do I get my hopes up only for it to say something has gone OUT 🫣😂

Seems quiet today for awards.16 wks today since scan date and I just know the weeks are now going to drag until a decision is made.

please can I have some advice, I don’t know what to do. Last Thursday I phoned up and said I wanted to submit more evidence as care for DS has changed since I sent form for new claim off in Aug. They said that was fine and there was plenty of time to send in as 25weeks etc and I was only at 20.
i sent off letter for next day delivery on 9th. It arrived 10th and same day a decision was made for LCR. I was hoping for MRC based on his needs. I phoned today and asked if the decision was made after getting my letter or before. Waiting for them to call me back.
my question is, if I go down the MR route, do they stop the payment for LCR until they’ve made an MR decision?

Sorry don’t know won’t happened there the lrc money u will still receive it while doing Mr x

They should have made a note to not make the decision until evidence was received, that's what they do whenever I send in additional info

I would send special delivery next day by 1pm x
